James Duigan; clean and lean?

Hi
I'm wondering if anyone has tried the clean and lean diet by James Duigan from Bodyism. I sounds similar to a primal style diet.
Thoughts/opinions?

Hello just saw this - yes I do know the James Duigan diet and I think it's pretty sensible - ditching all the 'bad' stuff (refined carbs etc) and eating good 'clean' food - nice recipes in there too.

    Hi

I am on James Duigan clean and lean - FABULOUS! The benefits I have seen in four weeks:
    - 14lbs weight loss
    - many compliments on hair, skin, eyes, nail etc
    - positive shape change
    - no bloating or uncomfortable full feeling
    - nearly one dress size

The meal plan is really easy. Essentially you ditch refined carbs, processed foods, sugar and stick to natural foods. It does say ditch caffeine, which I have not done. I usually have 1 coffee and 4-5 weak teas a day. Other than that I have been pretty good.

Definitely for you if you like easy food plan that is suitable for as a lifestyle change.

I bought the book but I haven't actually had a proper look at it yet, oops. This has reminded me though so I will have to get it out of the cupboard!
  • Hello

I too have bought the Clean and Lean Diet books and today is my first day. The recipes seems easy to follow, but what concerns me is the amount of protein you would eat when following the 14 day diet plan in the Clean and Lean Diet cook book(...not the de-tox 14 day plan in the first book. )
It just seems like an incredible amount of protein to eat in the course of one day but after googling possible concerns linked to his book...well I have yet to find any.
What really appeals to me however, which is why I am determined to stick with it for the 14 days, is the thought of not being hungry inbetween meals. This is something I really struggle with, I am hoping that by having 100g chicken with 1/4 avocado for an afternoon snack, I can get to my evening meal without constant cravings for other things.
I have also bought the Patrick Holford diet book, which also seems easy enough to follow but he recommends significantly less protein...but I just know that two oatcakes and an apple won't keep me happy until tea time!

I just want to eat healthily without spending a fortune but not feel hungry almost all of the time...unfortunately this seems to be a big ask!
