I like them but don't often eat them. Mostly when I do they are in a soup, pickled or made into a dip.

I'm way off on the demographic here...but I thought I'd add my favorite use of beets.
    Beet infused vodka martini.

I classify it as a vegetable instead of alcohol.

I like them--canned or fresh but cooked (boiled or roasted). I have never eaten them raw. My favorite prep is warm beets in a salad with cold greens, a little sweet vinaigrette, goat cheese, and a few roasted pistachios. Yum!

    I love, love, love beets!

I like them roasted or raw, peeled and julienned in the cuisinart with little fresh squeezed oj dressing. I also like to juice with them.

I think they are fabulous in all ways.

This is not a scientific way to do your research you know.
If you just go by this you should fail.
    It's also sexist as......

    but here goes anyway.
Australians of all ages love tinned beetroot.
It is default on salad sandwiches, salad rolls and hamburgers.

    Now get with the program,

My mom never cooked them, so I'd have no clue what to do with them. They don't look particularly appealing.

I love beets every way I've tried them, but especially as beet chips (grated off a raw one and baked in the oven slowly.

I also hate the way they stain your fingers.

I love them: boilied or pickled or raw or whatever.

I get to eat them next to never because they're the one and only food that my husband just absolutely hates and has asked me not to fix. He'll eat anything else I put in front of him, even if he's not a huge fan, but he gets nauseated just from the smell of beets cooking, so I don't even get to fix them just for myself. Occasionally I find them at a family gathering or on a salad bar and get to treat myself!

My midwife recommended beets during my last pregnancy. At age 35, I had never tried one.
I LOVE them now, cooked in the oven, with just a bit of salt and butter added. It's one of my pregnancy cravings this time around.
    The kids love them, too.

Beets make me gag. Even the name BEET. Doesn't even have a nice ring to it. Icky.

I prefer the sweeter yellow beets, then I slice them up, put them in a glass bowl, and mircowave for 2-3 minutes, then blanch them in icewater. I eat them plain, or in a salad. I don't like them any other way, believe me I've tried :P
