My daughter and I always cycle at the exact same time. So once a day during we split a hershey special dark chocolate bar.0

The sugar-free Jello Mousse desserts are fantastic. I know it is not a recipe, but when the craving hits me I have no time to bake. I need it NOW.0

A prevention magazine chocolate budding recipe modified a bit for taste
1/4 c cocoa
1/4 c corn starch
3 TB of brown sugar or raw sugar
dash salt
2.5 c low fat or non fat milk
1 tsp of vanilla
mix first 4 ingredients (dry)in sauce pan
add some of the milk (approx 1/2 to 1 cup) before you start heating mixing well
add rest as you begin heating -heat to just below rapid boil for about 60 seconds.so it can thicken then pour into 5 bowls and cool for fabulous home cooked low fat low calorie pudding. For a little glam and taste/ nutrition you can sprinkle with some toasted almond slivers or pistachios.
Other choice is to get some dark chocolate bars like 75-85% cacao - very healthy.0 -
ghiradelli brownie mix with can of black beans(pureed as good as you can get it) bake according to directions..3 gram fat per serving..tastes fudgy..just eat one maybe two..
OR swiss miss chocolate sensation hot chocolate mix.. hot chocolate always tastes good
OR sprinkle hot chocolate mix on edys slowchurned vanilla ice cream..
OR dove dark chocolate 3 pieces should do it..
if you get used to dark chocolate, you usually wont need so much to satisfy your craving.
OR chocolate royale slimfast...fiber, protein, tastes good0 -
thank you everyone. I think i will keep some dark chocolate chips or hersheys kisses on hand in the freezer for when I get a craving..
im going to continue looking for recipes so I will post as I find yummy ones0 -
Go get Hershey's dark chocolate baking powder. Tastes just as good as the real stuff, 10 calories a spoonful, sprinkle it on top of whatever you like. I sprinkle mine over bananas. Problem solved.
This! I put it in vanilla yogurt and overnight oats and it is delicious and super chocolatey! I get special dark. So good!0 -
You could make a chocolate protein sludge or fluff. Or have a protein bar, still fiarly high in cals, but at least its low in sugar and can help you towards your protein goals.0
-
I keep chocolate whipped yogurts in my fridge for those emergency chocolate cravings! 140 cals and 2 g fat so it doesn't ruin my healthy lifestyle! And if it's real bad, I'll throw a couple chocolate chips on top0
-
Definitely the protein powder brownie! I do it almost everyday now... I have started a strength training program (the new rules of lifting for women) and need to get at least 120g of protein each day. By having these protein powder "brownies" it's like eating dessert! I just add a little water to the powder and microwave it then spread a tablespoon of peanut butter on top so it gets all melty and delicious... mmmm.0

Check out what I had for dessert tonight. And I don't even menstruate anymore. LOL It was good.0

bit of water to mix to a thick consistency
dip fruit of some sort (strawberries works well)
Put on baking paper in freezer for half an hour.0 -
Not a girl, but I can help
Get a bar of hershey chocolate, mini-phyllo pastry shells, container of rasberry or blackberry
Put a piece of chocolate in each phyllo pastry and and back at 350 for 5 minutes
When you take them out of the oven put a rasberry on top of each
Low calorie and tasty0 -
I usually just opt for a toostie roll mini midgee or two. Low calorie, low fat and its nostalgic.0
-
The new Hershey's Simple Pleasures are fabulous! They come in milk or dark (I love the dark) and are only 30 calories per piece. I usually eat 3 at a time.0
-
Lindt dark chocolate with chili. Two squares is only two calories and it's nice and rich so you feel (fairly) satisfied!
I live in Australia and the Lindt Dark Chilli Choc we get here is heaps more calories than that! I want some of yours!!! 2 calories is less than a stick of carrot!0 -
I recently discovered theses and am blown away. Fiber One brownies, they aren't very big but they are delicious and only 90 calories. And you can buy them individually so you don't accidentally eat the whole box. :blushing:0
-
And I just remembered, when I was a kid they had chocolate soda, I haven't seen in a at least 15 years, anyone know if it still exists?0
-
No, but I know that a mini- container of Ben& Jerry's cookie dough ice cream is only 250 cals. (29g carbs and 23g sugar)0
-
sounds delicious!!!!0

I don't have any recipe, but for a quick chocolate fix I absolutely LOVE ZICO chocolate coconut wate . It tastes like a yoohoo, but 120 calories for the bottle. Coconut water is also really healthy.0
-
Raw chocolate, it's low in sugar (sweetened with rice syrup) and fat (no milk), high in antioxidants, and the brand I have is only 65 cals for 3 square/14g. Comes in different flavors, the coconut milk one may have more fat but not much more, I have the sour cherry flavor and it tastes just like a Dark Cherry Ripe to me.0
-
Cacao nibs! I put them in smoothies.. half a tablespoon is more than enough!0
-
Hershey's dark chocolate kisses are wonderful, only 20 calories each and you can make them last by letting them melt in your mouth instead of chewing them...really helps with the need for chocolate!0
-
green and black's dark chocolate 72% or higher. so yummy and one square curbs the craving. one bar lasts me at least a month...sometimes longer.

Skinny Cow (no sugar added) ice cream sandwiches do it for me. I get the yummy chocolate outside and also the creamy yummy inside, and it's only about 160 calories. So good! :happy:0
-
Skinny Cow has a whole lot of chocolate sweet treats for around 100 cals. Yummy too.
(I didn't read all the replies so sorry if this is a repeat)0 -
My survival mode for my last period involved replacing my entire breakfast with a sweet chocolate thing of some sort every day. Got me through! And easier than being good all day, eating my allotted calories, and then snapping and eating that same treat at night.0

Sounds silly but when I was on WW before and craving chocolate I would buy a can of that chocolate whipped cream in a can and put a squirt in my mouth when the cravings were out of control. Worked like a charm! Certainly less calories, fat, sugar than oreos. I also like skinny cow ice cream snacks or the blue bunny no sugar added chocolate ice cream. I also keep a bag of ghirardelli intense dark chocolate squares in the house. 1 square has 60 cal, 1.25 g of fiber and sugar and almost a gram of protein. For an actual serving size multiply that by 4 but I find just one is enough for me. I have discovered that most of hte time when I am craving sugar bitter chocolate takes care of it. Plus there are proven benefits to dark chocolate in your diet. I prefer the 86% cacao variety but will accept the 72%0
