Wow - I haven't considered doing a before/after before...

...but this is just too visually significant to ignore! I stand 5'3, and have been back and forth between 116 and 145 pounds in the past several years. I've never been that heavy, so I never saw a need to take a before picture, but it's still noticeable!

The first picture is me ~145 pounds, a few summers ago. I saved it because someday I'd hope to look back at it and see if I've come any distance at all.

And this is me the other day feeling lovely and fit, ~120 pounds.

And another of me recently, looking to slim down my stomach a bit. ~125 pounds here.

How come every time I find one of these motivational posts I read their diary and see that they're only netting around 200 calories a day? :/

Probably because I'm working hard to get over an ED... please do remember that I'm still a human on this side of the webs.

Isn't it great to be able to SEE progress on more than just the scale? Way to go!

And for what it's worth, from a fellow human (lol... it does seem that people forget that sometimes!), I think your menu looks pretty good -- lots of fruits, grains and veggies. As long as you're eatin' when you're hungry when your body needs fuel for all that running! Great job on embracing a healthy lifestyle! :)

P.S. Loved checking out your profile. What an interesting career you're pursuing... and also making plans for that zombie apocalypse. -g-
