Anyone MFP Monday to Friday? weekends off

Hi there, i have been on fitness pal since the winter and have stayed pretty religious to it. I find lately i'm finding it hard to stay motivated and wondered if anyone tracks food Monday to Friday and then doesn't track on the weekend? I wouldn't eat crazy on the weekend, but i think the 2 day break would re energize me for Monday to Friday....what are your thoughts?

I track on weekend too, but I usually eat a few more carbs and don't hit my macros.0

I don't track on the weekends. Not on purpose but I find it so easy as I sit here at my desk to log during the week while on the weekends I'm not in front of a computer or staring at my phone. So I continue to be aware of what I'm eating I just don't log it. I still try to eat well and get out for some hikes and always walking the dog, always.0

I wasn't but will now, no weight loss even though I was pretty active on the weekends. I just didn't care what I hate and drank. At least if I counted I think I would have curbed myself somewhat.0

I'm terrible about tracking on the weekends, and it definitely hurts my progress. I spend a lot of time on the road and training and working on a few farms, and the bad devil on my shoulder says I'm burning it off and don't care (which in reality is totally not true). I'll own it, I'm only hurting myself here. I need to get better about it for sure!0

I try like crazy to track on the weekends. I tend to fill it in the next day. I do however keep aware of what I am eating on the weekends. So far my messy way of tracking on and off hasn't hurt the scale. Week days are so much easier. Like another poster said, you are in front of your computer all day.0

Nope...I am here 24/7. I am committed to logging my calories and diary, and do like to read the Forums. Having a smart phone with the app does make it easier to log my foods.0

You can do a lot of damage within 2 days. Is tracking the issue or is eating lower calories the issue? If eating lower calories, you could plan for a higher calorie meal. If tracking is the issue, you could pre-plan/pre-track the weekend. A more dangerous proposition would be to post-track the weekend.0

For me it's a whole lot easier to track during the week. I try to track on the weekends, but often I don't. However, if I work out on the weekends, you can be damn sure I will log it! lol0

I track on the weekends too, but I am a little "looser" in my restrictions. I eventually created a "Rollover" category so I can cycle my calories and not hit the red anywhere.0

I don't track on the weekends. I use those two days to get ramped back up for the week. I still make smart choices, but also have my reward/cheat meal (or two...but never more than two) in those days.
I've found after eating right for just over a month that I don't crave a lot of the things I used to. Thinking about Taco Hell makes my stomach hurt, the only thing that still tempts me with McCrappies are the nuggets and egg mcmuffins, Wendy's...I have to have my spicy chicken! All-in-all I've found it a lot easier to stay motivated during the week when I give myself those two days to recharge.0 -

I weigh daily and plug it into a spreadsheet. It's very easy to see my trend, as every week is a little hump: weekends go up, weekdays go back down. Probably not the best method, but- this is my life. As long as the general trend goes down, I'm alright.0 -
I like to log every day. At home I use the PC, and when I'm out and about I use the phone app, but I feel I need to track it every day. Itwas actually easier for me when I was losing weight. I find maintenance to be a fine line to walk. You can't eat too low because the fat reserves are not there, and you can't eat to high or you backtrack.0

On the weekends I don't track as consistently. It has definitely made me stall losing the last 5lbs but I also knew that going into the summer. Now that Labor day has passed I'll be tracking 6-7 days a week taking a break if I feel I need to.0

I track every bite...even samples @ Sam's Club...430+ days so far. If I don't, I might backslide. It may work for some people, but I have to.0

I'm here every single day ... weekends, vacations, whatever. Life is 24/7/365, not "every day except for the weekends, 'cause those don't count."
Weekends may be downtime for some of us, but not an excuse to forget why we're here in the first place.0 -
During the weekends I am very busy and I forget to log my food or activity, but because I am so used to eating right during the week it doesn't harm my weight loss. I will try and scan a few things if I remember to.0

Just recently I started to be much more lax about tracking on weekends. As I'm learning about portion control and how many calories are actually in food, I've become much more aware of what I'm putting into my body so I don't gorge as much as I used to on weekends. I'm also much less sedentary on the weekends so I'm sure my BMR is a bit different, that being the case I'm not so hard on myself if I go over on weekends. For me weekends are kind of like a practice for the rest of my life. It's about being cognizant of my choices while not being a slave to MFP.0

what I do is eat well and exercise well on the weekdays so I can eat what I want(within reason) without worrying!
some people call it calorie cycling I think!
I always always track what I eat though!

Ifi had internet at home i would track on the weekends so instead i write it down and track on paper...old school0

I don't log in much on the weekends because I usually don't have the time. I also struggle with eating healthy on the weekends so it does make difference. I definitely have to make more of an effort to stay on track on the weekends. Yes, not tracking my food on the weekends does effect my weight but 1 or 2 days does not determine my overall success. If you slip, as you long as you get right back on track you'll do fine.0

I'm fairly new to MFP but I don't track on the weekends. I know it's something that would drive me crazy and cause me to likely quit in the long run. I still try and eat healthy but use what I learn about myself & food during the week days to help me make good choices on the weekends. That being said, I'm not in this for weight loss so if I have a bad weekend, I don't mind as much. I use MFP to learn about myself, what I'm eating, nutrition, exercise and all around healthy lifestyle choices.0

I tend to track my food and exercise during the work week because it's convenient: I am in front of a computer all day long. On weekends I don't get online much, so I don't usually track my food, but that doesn't mean I don't stay aware of what I am eating. It just doesn't get entered here.0
