I live alone so I have the option to not keep things around I binge on. I could eat half a pack of oreos a day if they were in my house. When I have the option to binge outside the house(i.e. buffets or someone brings an ungodly amount of Krspy Kremes to work) I simply track it. I track what I think I'll eat and do for my workout during the day and see how my binge will affect it. It's just not worth it anymore and I hate feeling guilty. Good luck. You're not alone.
  • If it's occurring in your home, then don't buy junk food. A lot easier to avoid binges, when it's out of sight / out of mind.

Also, a tip for you - don't ever go grocery shopping when you're starving!
  • Yeah I don't buy junk food, but I binge on anything. And I'm tired of feeling guilty and if I don't stop it now my weight will keep on up and up

Maybe you're being too strict with yourself and that's what is driving you to binge. Ehhh?

I'm a bad binger. I try to eat so healthy that sometimes I just crack, especially on the weekends. But I feel so bad afterwards. I've learned the best way to avoid binging is to not have foods you love to munch on lying around. Also, keep busy! Good luck!

actually the best way to avoid binges...first get self restraint, 2 fuel your body properly so you dont feel the need to over eat...3 dont avoid any foods make all foods fit into your macros, if you avoid something it only leads to binging or eating dissorder. There is no such thing as bad food you can eat anything you want long as you hit your macros

I read here that you shouldn't grocery shop when hungry.
SO TRUE!! Go when you just finished eating.
Plan out what you'll eat for the week.
Always always ALWAYS buy fruit. Its the best "pig out' food!!

If it's truly that you just eat a lot of stuff, go ahead and binge on vegetables if the urge strikes. You really can't hurt yourself with too many vegetables.

But definitely make sure you're fueling yourself properly. eating really low most of the time until you snap and eat a pile of calories at once is a really good way to mess your metabolism and ruin your weight loss.
