Stroller pushing versus moderate walking

Why is it that 15 minutes of moderate walking burns more calories that 15 minutes of pram/stroller pushing? I feel pretty certain that my 15 minute walk today with the addition of two heavy toddlers in a double buggy would have burned more calories than my similar-length walk yesterday without them!

In reality, the difference is negligible. The database may say one is more than the other, but the difference is so small as to be not worth worrying about. Especially for 15 minutes of exercise.

You could have walked faster alone, and had you been without the buggy, you would have been swinging your arms, which burns more than holding on to something.

Don't get caught up in thinking that the calorie burns in the database are gospel. They are wrong a lot of the time, none of this is perfect. Log it and move on. You'll notice a trend of weight loss (or not) based on a pattern of logging calories and exercising more than 15 minutes. Adjust accordingly.
