advice on exercise at home

HI,i am relatively new on mfp actually i have started doing exercises at home and i am a bit confused,first of all i am not aware of many terminology used for exercises so i would explain what i do.first of all about myself i am 5 ft 7 inches presently on 70 kg and my goal is 60 kgs.so i need wt. loss and toning too. i recently started mixture of exercises like i do jumping without rope in sets of 50 each thrice. side bends-15x2,front bending while i m standing straight-20x2,squats15x2{with heavy book ,arm in fronts},leg raising while i am supine-30 in breaks,side ways raising of legs while i am supine30x2,alternatively touching my feet in criss cross fashion while i am standing erect40x2. first of all sorry as i don"t know many terminology ,my confusion is, am i going in right direction?i have a heavy lower body-lower abdomen,hips and thigh which i want to reduce.please guide me about exercise regimen which i can incorporate or delete or modify in my present regimen . thanks for having so much patience in reading this post.any advice would be highly appreciated.

    Hi there, I use exercise DVDs at home, currently I am using Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred which is already showing results! :) I also use an elliptical machine and do plenty of walking. As long as you are getting resistance/weights in alongside cardio you'll have some great results :) xx

    Hiya, if you look on utube there's lots of workouts you can do at home...and they are free!
