Look who we rescued last night :)

I saw an ad on Kijiji for a "Free female ferret". The ad said she came with a cage, food, harness, etc. I have been wanting to add a ferret back in my life for some time so I was stoked!
We went to meet her and found her living in a tiny shoe box cage. She was shaking when we took her out to hold her. She is really small and underfed, they were feeding Walmart brand kitten food and she is weak from not being let out to play.:frown: :frown:
Needless to say we brought her home right away and she is happily settling in! Her mood and energy has improved even in the few hours we have had her home. Tomorrow I am off to find her a cage upgrade, high calorie supplement and proper food.

Edit: My ferret was named 'Princess Eva'. She was given to my father who cared for her through ferret diabetes and illness. Until her last day, she was loved. She was an awesome companion. So my vote is for 'Eva'.

I would never decide on a ferret (too many cables around the house ), but I find them amazing and so sweet, especially when they sleep - they have such funny positions that even my cat can't beat 'em

Yes, I get that!! I rescued a dog from the pound a couple years ago and changed his name because of that exact same reason.0 -

But she is so sweet and docile. It doesn't suite her.
