I saw an ad on Kijiji for a "Free female ferret". The ad said she came with a cage, food, harness, etc. I have been wanting to add a ferret back in my life for some time so I was stoked!

We went to meet her and found her living in a tiny shoe box cage. She was shaking when we took her out to hold her. She is really small and underfed, they were feeding Walmart brand kitten food and she is weak from not being let out to play.:frown: :frown:

Needless to say we brought her home right away and she is happily settling in! Her mood and energy has improved even in the few hours we have had her home. Tomorrow I am off to find her a cage upgrade, high calorie supplement and proper food.

    I have a HUGE list. Like really...it's silly! But I am waiting to name her until she gets a little more settled and I can see her personality :)

    This is turning into imgur in all the right ways. Thank god you found her and were able to take care of her properly. Sweet little baby. Thanks for doing God's work, you awesome super person. Love to all the animals out there needing homes and help.


    Edit: My ferret was named 'Princess Eva'. She was given to my father who cared for her through ferret diabetes and illness. Until her last day, she was loved. She was an awesome companion. So my vote is for 'Eva'. :D

    She's cute! It looks like she's going to have an awesome home and a lot of friends to play with!
    I would never decide on a ferret (too many cables around the house :) ), but I find them amazing and so sweet, especially when they sleep - they have such funny positions that even my cat can't beat 'em :)

    Thank you! I hope so. Today I am going out to get her a nice new cage, toys, proper food and she is going to need a supplement to get her back up to health for sure.

    Haha yeah that's the one I am leaning towards too. :)

    My boyfriend really likes Toula.


    Oh I forgot. Her name currently is Sarah. Which personally I think is a silly name for a ferret :)

    Also re-naming her is kind of like a washing of the past if you get what I mean?
