What bodyfat % are you, if you want a lean stomach you are going to have to be very lean all over first.

unfortunately how we lose weight is based on genetics, so any stubborn areas on you are probably going to be the last places you notice significant fat loss. just keep following a sensibe fat loss program including balanced diet and exercise and eventually you'll see results.

i know it's frustrating though. i have my own problem area and although i've lost 3 sizes overall, i've lost absolutely nothing in this area, which of course makes it look even bigger

Everything they said is true, but let me add something else.

Are you sure it's fat? My husband works out all the time - he's a tai chi instructor. He often looks like he has a huge gut. A bit of it is fat. But most of it isn't - it is bloat. Any time he drinks a beer or eats too much fat he swells like a balloon. I've never seen anyone go from as big to small as fast as he does.

Is there something in your diet that sets it off or is it always, always there?

bloat is a good point. i have issues with gluten, and if i'm naughty and eat a bunch of it the first sign is bloating. i can expand by as much as 3 inches :ohwell:

It seems as if the stomach is just the last to go. You can't spot reduce and crunches, etc don't do any good. Of course, it's good to have a strong core for many reasons but that won't take the fat off. You simply have to keep losing weight until the stomach comes off. I know how frustrating it is and empathize with you. But the only thing that works is simply to eat low glycemic foods, cut lots of the carbs out and lose the fat. Exercise will help. Especially resistance exercise. Don't get discouraged. It will happen.

I find it funny ppl still think carbs are bad. Too much of anything is bad. Just get cleaner it's been proven low carbs isn't any better then any other diet.

Unfortunately, we can't spot reduce. (Oh how I wish we could)

The good news is, from what I can see in your profile pic it looks like you carry your weight very evenly. No protruding tummy, nice proportionate body. This should mean your tummy will shrink in proportion with the rest of you. You just have to give it time, keep a good eye on your nutrition and work hard.

    YOU CAN DO IT!!
