I love Banana Bread. However am in Australia and don't really have all the applesauces. Any ideas on what to replace that with? Or any applesauce is ok?

Woolworths have a cheap unsweetened applesauce :) I had the same problem recently ha.

Aussie here as well so woohoo Woolies here I come! Saving all the recipies and ideas, waiting for bananas to go soft now!! Thanks for sharing

I wonder how it would taste if you replaced the sugar w/ splenda or some other substitute OR put in a little more applesauce that was sweetened.....

Anyone tried using this recipe and making banana muffins?

I am a Banana Bread Fiend! I LOVE the stuff.
It's awesome for breaky with a few handfuls of fruit such as berries and a spoonful of yoghurt - keeps me full until lunchtime!

I will definitely be making this. Thanks so much for the recipe!

bump cause this sounds yummy and I'd like to try it as soon as my bananas are ripe enough...

when I make stuff like this from scratch I usually use the splenda mixes. Its splenda and sugar premixed (in my case I usually use the brown sugar mix). You use it one for one i believe when recipes call for real sugar. It cuts the calories but still lets you enjoy some of the real sugar that makes things taste better.
