Childish Things we do as adults...

So this semester (my last at USC), I'm directing a production of J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan and we've been talking a lot in rehearsal about the childhood impulses that we sometimes censor when we grow up.

What are some "childish" things you've done recently that put you right back at 10 years old?? I took a flying trapeze class yesterday!

    In my happiest when I don't stop the impulses. ;)


    Random dancing.
    I love getting caught singing or dancing on the car. It makes me feel 10. Giggles!
    Laughing until I cry or i snort.
    Playing on the playground with my kids
    Splashing in puddles
    Running through bubbles.

    I get by with a lot thanks to my kids. Lol

    Swimming in my bra and panties.
    Swinging and going down the slide at the playground.

    I watched Saturday morning cartoons this weekend and bought a box of Crayola crayons at Target--COMPLETE IMPULSE BUY. Never had more fun than I did coloring with my 24 shiny crayons.

    I actually wrote a small essay on this on Facebook a few years back.
    I sold my old beat-up Bronco to make way for a more family friendly Suburban.
    While the Suburban, in every class was a better vehicle then the Bronco, I still liked the Bronco better.
    And then it hit me.
    When I drove that old beat up 4X4, I felt 18 again.
    I would take ot off road on a whim.
    I would just throw all kinds of beach wet crap in the beck without a second thought.
    I simply enjoyed acting like a kid when driving it.

    I really enjoy scaring the piss/poop out of people.

    Ditto that. Sneaking up on my husband when he's in the shower and scaring the crap out of him will never get old. Ever.

    (when you see a VW Beetle, you shout "Slug Bug [color]" and punch the nearest person in the arm)

    catching fireflies/lightning bugs
    water fights/water balloons
    coloring
    skipping
    when holding hands I avoid walking near poles that would seperate us, if we have to then I say "bread and butter"

    There are more but being an adult means I have to get back to work...boooooo

    I often color, I have a shelf of coloring books on my bookcase.
    I love playing at the playground, and usually talk my 22 year old daughter to go and play with me.
    My daughter and I will often be found in the toy sections of stores playing with the toys.
    I love splashing in mud puddles.
    We have a selection of Nerf swords for our swordfights.
    Blowing bubbles is always fun.

    What can I say, I'm a kid at heart. :flowerforyou:

    I gotta jump in the bed at night...just in case there is a monster living under there...also, closet door must be closed...same reason.
