Don't freak out!!

Today was my weigh-in. I was afraid that I had gained a pound or two because I screwed up my metabolism with WHEN I was eating. I was kinda forced to skip a few meals during the week, which caused me one night, to go way under my calories. I got the whole "lecture" thingy that MFP gives you when you go under (first time for me). I was monitoring my weight, watching it go up and down. I know I know... don't do that, but unlike most... it doesn't really bum me out. It's more of fascination to see how the body works.

Anyway... let's get to the point. I stepped on the scale to note that I didn't lose anything, nor did I gain. Okay... that was a little better than what I expected. Not a big deal at all. Then I grabbed the tape measure, as it was 2 weeks since last I checked. I lost another inch on my waist and a half inch on my neck!! Honestly... I didn't even realize I had any inches to lose on my neck... lol!

So for any of you freaking out about your fluctuation of weight... stop it! You may screw up on your calories, or be off sync a little with your new found lifestyles, but really... it doesn't do any good to stress out about things that may not even be doing anything bad. I may have not lost any weight this week, but I lost an inch around the waist. It's still a great feeling! =D

    Congrats! That's a great feeling...

I need to get myself a tape measure. I only weigh and it can be discouraging :)
  • I think measuring is a GREAT idea!!! I have been pretty strict about my diet and light exercise for 24 days now. I have lost 8lbs BUT 4in off my waist, 2in off my neck, and 1in from my hips! I LOVE knowing that I am making some progress...even if I go a day or two without loosing any weight!!! Keep up the good work!!
  • wow congrats!! i have got to get the old tape measurer out!!!
