If it fits in my macros, I am good with it.

Nope...not me either. Life is still for living and food is a part of life. You have to have SOME good things to look forward to or you get bored and discouraged. At least, I do. :)

    No.
    It's just food.
If I eat more than I need to today, I try to make sure that tomorrow is more in balance.
Life is too short to beat myself up over food.

Sometimes I feel guilty, but I try to make up for it by either exercising more or eating better. Sometimes, if I overindulge, I feel bad from eating too much or too much of the wrong stuff. I feel bad physically.
  • kinda because I know if I'm cutting my calories they should be healthy foods so that my body gets what it needs, but on the other hand I'm only human and you have to live a little. As long as its mostly healthy I don't feel bad about splurges here and there

I know it's unreasonable to feel guilty as long as within your calorie limit, but I do. I feel terrible when I eat anything like chocolate (I'm a chocoholic) or even pasta or potatoes.

No. As long as my day went well, then at the end of the day if I have enough calories to throw in a piece of chocolate, a glass of wine, or a scoop of ice cream, then it's a wonderful feeling to indulge a bit. No better way to end the night then with chocolate and wine!

I agree with everyone else....as long as it's within your daily goal, then go for it! If you are like me, the minute you tell me I can't have something, I will want it even more! I'm eating everyday food that I enjoy and yet still losing weight. Good luck on your journey!
  • I feel guilty when eating "those foods" because I know they are loaded with empty calories, fats, and sugar. It doesn't make sense to me to deprive myself from more nutritious foods in order to save calories for "those foods." I do it anyways....but try not to do it so often.

    Sometimes I do, yes.

Really, the only way you will gain weight is going over calories.

You just have the diet mentality. Get rid of it. Many people eat cookies and they're thin.
  • I think its great. Eventually, we all want to get to that weight where we just want to maintain and live a happy and healthy life. Cutting out everything "unhealthy" isn't necessarily a realistic goal. Just remember moderation is key and you're doing great! I just wouldn't eat your calorie goal of chocolate and nothing else that day ;)
  • I feel bad too only because it takes a toll on my digestion. But that is me personally. Even then, I cannot help that junk food is so good! I have to have it!

    No. I love food.
  • Noooooooooooo, I love all kinds of food. As long as most of the time I hit, I'm quite content with my indulgences.

Heck no.....if I plan for it or around it and I don't go over my allotted calories why would I feel guilty? LOL
I'm not gonna give up foods I enjoy, if I restrict myself from eating them (or feeling guilty if I do), this lifestyle change I'm working on, is going to end before I get to where I want to be.

No, but when my Dad is an *kitten* and says I'm still eating like a fat *kitten* that makes me feel bad. Oh well. I've lost 24 lbs, and I had more than enough calories left for that small bowl of ice cream. I worked my *kitten* off today.

Only when it makes my stomach make ungodly noises and I end up on the potty. But I would say that's more regret than guilt. Then I go and do it again.

Tell him to shove it up his *kitten*. You do what you need to do to stay on track bud.

I might ... if there were such a thing as a bad food. probably not. but, since there are no bad foods, I guess I'm safe.

No. Eating these things makes me happy. I fit them into my macros and everyone lives happily ever after. Also, I gotta agree with Acg.
  • I love eating but when I eat the wrong thing or too much of something (wholemeal brea rolls are my weakness) I get very pissed off lol. I just try and make up for it the next day :-)
