Can anyone with a little bit of time tell me why on Earth am I loosing so little? Should I increase my calories as well? Sorry if this sounds obvious/silly/stupid, but I'm a total noob and I honestly don't know any better...
It will be greatly appreciated...

Exactly how little is so little?0
-
4 pounds / 2 kgs in 20 days...
Maybe I'm eating too little? I certainly do not want that!0 -
That's around 1.3-1.4lb/week. Why are you under the impression that this is unacceptable?0
-
I aim for 1 kg per month. Your weight loss is totally acceptable.0
-
That seems like a pretty fair amount of weight to lose in that time. Are you noticing that clothes fit better?0

Thank you all.
I underwent a gastric bypass almost three years ago, lost 88 pounds / 40 kgs and gained half of it the year and a half that followed just by NOT PAYING ATTENTION and NOT SPORTING AT ALL.
I'm stupid like that.
I'm still 44 pounds / 20 kgs lighter than when I started, but it's still not acceptable (to me). I see other people losing faster while eating more (and sporting more), so I wondered where was I wrong...
I received my exercising gear (pedometer, shoes and bra) so I'm starting as for tomorrow (yesterday I twisted my ankle badly and still hurts). No excuse. Period.

This! Sounds like you are doing great to me.0 -
I think you're doing really well, a nice a steady weight loss is what you should be aiming for which is what you're doing. You can do it!0

Try eating between 1200to 1300 calories and be sure to eat protein! This causes you metabolism to work harder and this way you burn more. I make 4oz chicken tenderloins ( skinless ) with a little olive oil in the pan do it doesn't stick and put chili powder which burns calories, garlic and rosemary! It's about 100 calories each tenderloin. I also add tomatoes and onion(:
Also you need to burn more than you take in and if you keep the same habits you won't see results. I hope this helps !
Oh also cheat if needed lol I did but in moderation and I made sure I worked off the intake of calories. And Ive lost 3 pounds in 4 days!! Oh and drink lots of water helps your body heat up and it burns calories. Okay I'm done now good luck on your journey!!(:0 -
First of all stop calling yourself a noob and stupid! We all have questions on here and asking questions is not stupid!! Quite the opposite. Your weight loss is completely normal...you are doing great!! Don't be so hard on yourself.0

Sounds like you are right on track.0

Yeah... when you've been called stupid all your life, it's pretty easy to pick it up, I guess...
Again, thank you for being there...0 -

In the overall scope of things, the thermal effect of food is pretty insignificant and not a factor in weight loss. Protein is important for maintiaing muscle mass but not for increasing your metabolism.0 -
That amount is a very good amount - if you lose too much at once you are more likely to put it back on quicker.
How many calories a day are you eating now?
Around 1500 is the ideal amount to lose around 1 pound per week which is the most realistic amount to aim for.
also, are you making sure you are eating from all the food groups, and getting enough from the fruit and veg group?0 -
What is your goal (how many pounds per week did you set?) Mine is at 1.5 pounds per week. I started at 220 lbs and 5'4 and it gave me 1400 calories. I couldn't imagine any success trying to lose faster because I'd be starving, and cheat constantly.
As great as exercise is to a nutrition plan, if that's not working, the exercise will do very little.
Oh, and you are NOT stupid!!! Get that out of your vocabulary! Stupid would be not understanding something and not asking about it!0 -

My 2c about that - you are not stupid, do not buy into other peoples idiocy.
Anyhoo, you are doing absolutely fine. You losses are at a very nice reasonable level. Hang in there.0 -
Just copy pasted what my goals are...
- Nutritional Goals
--> Net Calories Consumed* / Day = 1,280 calories/day
--> Carbs / Day = 176 g
--> Fat / Day = 43 g
--> Protein / Day = 48 g
- Fitness Goals
--> Calories Burned / Week = 2,550 calories/week
--> Workouts / Week = 7 Workouts
--> Minutes / Workout = 60 mins
- Your diet Profile
--> Calories Burned from Normal Daily Activity = 1,780 calories/day
--> Your Daily Goal = 1,280 calories/ day
--> Daily Calorie Deficit = 500 calories
--> Projected Weight Loss = 1.0 lbs/ week0 -

Your goals look fine and you are hiiting just what is says you will. Nice going! I assume you are eating exercise calories back?0
-
Not always, and not because I don't want to, but either because I'm exhausted or just not hungry...
I plan to eat them back today though... I'm hungry!!0 -

Key thing is to keep your net above 1200 as a minimum. To go below for a day is not a big deal but to do that for extended periods can have negative metabolic and hormonal impacts that will counter productive to both your goals and your health.0 -
also if your foot is still hurting , switch to doing upper body workouts for a few days till it feels better.0
-
Thank you! I'll see how I wake up tomorrow... Jogging a little bit might help, as today I barely moved it... This afternoon it barely hurt, so my guess is that tomorrow it'll be ok...
Above 1200 as a general rule, got it! Very well explained for it to get INTO MY HEAD! lol0
