Ok, so I am obsessed with pumpkin ice coffee from Dunkin's so in order to keep enjoying them I decided to eliminate the coffee creamer I've been using for my home brewed coffee. What have you switched up in your life in order to make some room for something you love but that's not exactly healthy?

ETA - not that this really balances it out, just makes me feel better about it. lol

Well now instead of frying up a bunch of frozen fries in the deep fryer, I just make my own and bake them.

I've also replaced soda with water.

You should share your fry recipe *hint, hint*

And those are both great ideas!
  • I am not usually a fan of DD, but I LOVE their pumpkin latte. In season, I plan at least one day around a breakfast of a medium latte with the pumpkin muffin.

I was eating one or two 150 calorie skinny cow ice cream sandwiches at the end of the say, but now I've thrown that out.

My current strategy of the week is to increase my calories by about 500 (and eat the same number everyday) and eliminate all protein powders and calorie supplements. It's a lot of food everyday, but it's ALL good stuff.

:) What I do is cut up a few potatoes in thin strips, lay them on a baking sheet and then I sprinkle a tiny bit of oil over then, like splash it on. Then I sprinkle basil, onion powder, garlic powder, and parmesan cheese over then and bake at 375 for ten minutes, but you'll have to keep checking them, just stab one with a fork and see if they are soft. Then take them out and enjoy :) SOOOO YUMMY and so much better for you than that fried junk.

I was eating the skinny cow ice cream sandwiches but found I had stop. Replaced them with a smoothie made with plain yorgurt, oj, frozen fruit and ground flax seed. It is about 180 calories but much better than the 150 from the skinny cow.

I love skinny cow - haven't had them in forever though. That smoothie sounds yummy and WAY more nutritious)!

When you say calorie supplement - you just mean extra food at the end of the day to bump up your calories to reach whatever your net is? I have trouble with that (sometimes) too. I named those items my Trouble (if I'm just being naughty with food) / Calorie Bump (need to squeeze in a few more calories) on my food breakdown. I'll need to go and take a look at that and see what I can change out.

    Good call!
