The Talk...without Make Up.

I just watched a video on CNN about the recent The Talk show where the hosts went without makeup. I read a few blogs and news sites and there was a lot of commentary about how they need to put their makeup back on.
Do you ladies wear makeup daily? Is it really that bad to go 'natural'?
I occasionally put on some mascara and some lip balm, but I rarely ever go full-face makeup unless I'm attending an event. I feel like a dying breed.

I go natural most days. Or just mascara. The full face of makeup is saved for going out.
I do know MANY women though that can't stand to be seen without makeup on. My aunt has woken up before my Uncle for 35 years to put her makeup on before he wakes because she cannot stand to be seen without it. No, it's not his request. It's hers.0 -
i believe Hoda Kotb and Kathy Lee have been doing a no makeup show for a few years... but anyway,
my wife wears little make up. some eye shadow and liner. that's pretty much it, unless going to an event. she frequently goes without. she's beautiful0 -
I don't wear makeup everyday. When I do, it's very lite. A little blush, natural shade of eyeshadow and some mascara I think natural is beautiful!!0

When I was younger, even up until a few years ago, I would mostly wear just eye makeup. I went many years without wearing really any makeup as well. The eye makeup has always been to help disguise the circles that are inevitably under my eyes due to allergies. However, as I'm approaching 40, my skin doesn't look as good as it once did. I now wear a moisturizer that helps lighten spots, foundation, powder, and eye makeup. The moisturizer and foundation both have sunscreen in them as well. Occasionally I'll go places with just eye makeup on still, but it's not often. But when I was your age? Yeah, I went without makeup quite frequently or only wore a little.
ETA: When I'm at home, not going anywhere, no, I don't wear makeup. lol And I don't care about my boyfriend or family seeing me without it.0 -
During the week, when I am at work I do wear make up (although very minimal). Usually on the weekends I don't bother...or just some mascara.
Although I am addicted to lip balm...so I always have some on.0 -
I think most women are absolutely gorgeous without makeup. It's a beautiful thing to see women just be naturally pretty. BUT, I love makeup, too. And I love wearing a lot of makeup, and I love when other women wear makeup, too. I don't think there are really any specific rules as to what is better or when is appropriate for makeup. When you want to wear a lot, wear a lot. When you don't, don't.0

I wear makeup about once every other month when I go to parties or other holiday event. That's it...I have no time to do that in the morning and no desire to do it on the weekend unless I really have something really special.0

If I go without makeup, people tend to ask if I am either sick, in a bad mood, or have something else wrong  I wear foundation, eyeliner and mascara without fail most every day... and LOVE bright red lipstick. If I go with NOTHING... I still wear eyeliner :blushing:0

I think another thing for me is that I don't know how to apply most makeup without looking like I've been punched in the face. I might have to see if I can get a lesson at some point. XD0

TBH, I just feel ugly without make up, I know that is negative and I hope other girls don't feel that way. I've seen many beautiful faces without make up.
But I don't look like them. I have cicles under my eyes, my face just looks weird without make up! My mom told me I don't look good with out it , either. No one else is honest enough to tell me the truth and I don't want to show everyone anyway.
I'll probably be one of those wives who wake up before the husband (I'm a morning person anyway xD) and have make up already on.
The only time I don't have make up on is when I workout, then I take a shower....
Can't leave the house and be seen without makeup. Unless its one of my close girl friends, or my sister.0 -
I am very pale and my skin shows redness and spots for WEEKS after I have a blemish, so I almost always put it on if I am going out, unless I have had a rare month where I have no spots. BF doesn't care either way, and if I am with family or home I usually don't bother.
I feel like the clearer complexion it gives me helps me to be taken more seriously and professionally... strange, but true.
Not to mention the confidence kicker it gives me to feel all spotted up.0 -
I don't usually wear it. But don't all TV personalities wear makeup on camera?0

i work out in the mornings so my face is bare at the gym, but after i shower there its hair and make up time i wear make up every day. full face, but on the lighter side. i dont do eyeliner in day time and usually stick to more nude shade of eyeshadow. BUT when i go out-out its like done up to the nines! black liquid liner and tons of mascara! i love make up really, lol. before i had kids i used to wear makeup and do my hair everyday of my life. after they came i let everything go, i kinda just thought thats how it went. i gained weight, stopped wearing make up, pony tail every day, mom clothes. BOOOO....now im all SHAZAM again and dressing/grooming myself to feel that way on a daily basis. im not saying anyone else has to, lol, but i do what makes ME feel good now, wish i never stopped!0

I have always had dark circles under my eyes, so I always wear concealer around my eyes (and usually my nose as well because the sides get reddish) and then mascara because the concealer tends to get on them a bit and lighten them up. Then a bit of pwer to make it stay and not get shiny.
I often also wear eyeliner, and eyeshadow a couple of times a week (usually natural look).
If I'm going out somewhere special/dressing up, I will do a little bit more dramatic eye makeup, add some bronzer and lipstick.0 -
I wear makeup almost daily. I feel more "me" with it on. I'm an artist, and it's just another form of expression for me.0
-
Nope, almost never. I can't stand taking time out my day to worry about it. Plus, I don't like it on my skin. The only time I've ever worn make up was for job interviews.0

I usually wear eye makeup & some sort of lip gloss when I go out of the house. At the very least, mascara & lip gloss. Just recently I added under eye concealer to the mix... just noticing some dark under my eyes. I don't wear foundation, quit wearing it years ago. I only put on some self tanning lotion maybe 3-4 days per week to keep a little color going.0

I wear make-up every day.
Different strokes for different folks. One is not better than the other. One is not more right than the other.0 -
I never wear make-up. Not saying there is anything bad about wearing make up but I have never put in on ever.0
-
I NEVER wear makeup to work, but I sing outside of work about 3 or 4 times a month and I'll wear makeup to those events. I like that people aren't used to seeing me with makeup. It makes me feel glamorous when I do wear it0

When I was younger I wore a thin line of eyeliner every day and that was it. I’d go all out for fun when going out at night but most days it was next to nothing.
I’m 37 now and I have slight rosacea – my cheeks get pink and it’s uneven. I wear foundation, eyeliner, mascara and lip stain & balm every weekday.
<---Pretty much exacly how I look in my profile picture here.
Weekends I usually go without if I’m not leaving the house or only running errands but if I’m meeting friends I do my usual weekday routine. For evenings on occasion I’ll do up the eyes or lips a bit more dramatically.0 -
It depends on my skin. I have no problem not wearing makeup, but I am really self conscious if I break out. So, if my skin looks a little rough, I do a ten minute makeup before going anywhere.0
-
I don't wear make up and if I decide to - it's only mascara and Burt's Bees super gloss. Can't stand the feel on my face!! !0
-
I must wear make-up or it looks like I'm missing a MAJOR facial feature...like my nose or something!! I don't care if my family sees me without it, but I don't leave the house without eyeliner, shadow, blush, & some foundation with SPF in it for my age spots!!0
-
All natural girl here! The most I'll put on for special occassions is mascara, lip gloss and maybe tinted moisturizer.0
-

I am exactly the same. Since my skin is so pale I need a little something to make my eyes pop or I just look tired.0 -
I never never wear make up, tried it in my youth, looked like someone else and felt painted. My mum never wears it either.0
-
during the week, very light make up 10 mins mascara, lips gloss,blush.... weekends a little more make up!!0
-
I have always wore moisturizer and makeup during the week since high school. For the weekend, I go without makeup, but still use the moisturizer. I recently had permanent eyeliner done and love, love it!0
-
I only wear eye-liner. Oh.....and chap stick. Does that count?
However if I am going somewhere special I may do some eye shadow and mascara & lip gloss...but never foundation. I hate the way it feels on my face.0
