I know you can obviously burn calories when you work out, what about sodium?

If you sweat enough and have a block of it handy I guess that would be possible.

Seriously, yes you lose some through sweat, but drinking pure water and adequate potassium intake are the best "cures".

You don't burn sodium, but you can get rid of excess water weight caused by eating too much sodium. Dinrk lots of water and flush out the sodium, burning it, no.

    Water, water, water.

I know I feel physically better when I sweat after eating too much sodium but I think its more about me burning off the bad foods I ate vs actual science.

Sodium isn't something that can be burned.... it can be flushed...
