  • Soy milk or coconut milk is good.

try raw milk, it shouldn't have the problems that commercial milk has. Then there's coconut milk. The good stuff comes in a can (or an actual coconut), not a carton.
  • I am on a low carb diet and for a few weeks I have been enjoying protein shakes, and I found one called EvoPro that is very low carb. While I have to admit that a protein shake is NOT milk of any sort, it didn't stop MuscleMlik calling theirs Milk (until they were forced to drop the i so that it is now MuscleMlk because it isn't milk) and I now enjoy my protein shakes as a milk replacement. It tastes creamy and reminds me of a milk shake for sure, and I have no problem putting it on cereal instead of milk. (If anything, it's a bit sweet and is vanilla flavored but hey it works for me)

I rely on coconut milk! I find it much more refreshing than cow's milk.
  • Thanks for all your replies!

Think I will go for coconut milk. I've had it before fresh from a coconut that had just come off a tree - amazingly fresh.
I don't drink protein shakes, it would just be for my cereal and to add to tea/coffee

What the hell is spagetti squash?! lol. The stuff I had read about cows milk was a couple of years ago, there was also a documentary on it in the UK a few years back. Cows get injected with all all sorts throughout their lives and you just don't know how much gets filtered down to the food chain. That's why I don't eat much meat either.

I will stock up on some coconut milk this week :)

It's a squash that strings out like spaghetti when baked.
