Girlfriend: We have really different taste in music..
Bioyfriend: Well whats your latest obsession?
Girlfriend: Oh, a solo artist called-
Boyfriend: I was kidding, I dont care. Shut up. Haha, I'm such a great boyfriend :P

Just curious. I told my mum and she just said "Ha, that's men for you" I don't know if she was being realistic or if she's a bit jaded..

I'd dump him too he sounds like a knobhead (if you not british I mean an ahole) if he doesnt validate your feelings or care what you like get rid of him before it becomes serious.

I think the fact that he told you to "Shut up" is reason enough to ditch him.

Well at least he has a mature girlfriend who posts his conversations on the internet...

Sounds like you two are perfect for each other. Go on.. kiss him honey!

Well, if you have constantly crappy taste in music, then I think he was justified.

Sounds like rather dull banter to me.

I can't see how 1) that even constitutes a conversation and 2) it merits posting on the internet.

Can't really answer... My husband is AWESOME and if I took ONE random conversation and said "What do you think of this?" I might get 9,897 people telling me to leave the BEST thing that ever happened to me. Not everyone is sunshining glittery bunnies all the time. :ohwell:

You: I was kidding, I dont care. Shut up. Haha, I'm such a great girlfriend.

*shrugs* Most other people post their sh*tty issues on here, so why not post my tiny annoyance? It's fascinating to hear the different opinions.

Let it go. Especially if you have a jokey relationship, which it sounds like you do.

My husband would do that, I find it funny because I know he's joking but other people may think "what a jerk" lol

    Also my opinion haha.
    Still kinda hurt though.
I listen to all his *kitten* -.-

The key word here is "hurt". You should tell him what effect his comment had on you. Because teasing shouldn't hurt. If it does, its because it's too close to the truth, or it pokes at some issue you have.

I can't imagine telling anyone to shut up, much less my wife (or girlfriend for the dating folk). I might not be interested or care at all, but will still listen to what she has to say. Now after she has has her say (in this case about music), I might say it's not my thing or something like that. I think telling someone to shut up is very rude and demeaning and should not be tolerated by either side of the relationship.
