How do I curb the CHOCOLATE cravings

It's so amazing to me when I see people who can eat one Dove square and be satisfied. If I have one Dove square, step aside, I'm diving in the bag to finish all the other 20 pieces.0

eat a square of dark chocolate (at least 70%) when you are craving it. Buy a very good quality chocolate...if you have to indulge, have the best! When you eat it, do it slowly and really ENJOY it (not while watching TV or else)0

I think MY problem is Nutella. Me and my friends all eat it with everything. It's crazy. I only get it every once in a while but when I do I try so hard to stay away. I love that stuff so much. :indifferent:0

How about buying a chocolate scented candle? It fools your mind because your are inhaling the scent.

Low fat vanilla chobani with a tbsp of cocoa and a tbsp of cool whip. Under 200 cals with 20 grams of protein.0

I do one of two things when am craving chocolate...
1. Drink a glass of chocolate skim milk
2. Eat a fudgsicle. it is only 40 calories and soooooooo Good! This one usually takes the edge off!

Another posted also suggested doing this with protein powder. I like the plain yogurt with a scoop of choc protein powder and a few tsp of sugar free raspberry jam. Raspberry chocolate is one of my fave combos.0 -

Eat chocolate! Seriously. Get dark chocolate and allow yourself room for a little bit. give in to the craving!
stay away from the crap,spend up to 10 dollars on a good dark chocalate bar and eat one or 2 squares a day,,,,,,quality not quantity,,,stay away from the fast food chocalate bars,,0 -
Not eating it healp me curb my cravings though I realise that this won't work for everyone. I find that if I'm eating it every day, then I want it - every day. Now that I've gone without for a while and avoided it, I find that I can have a bit here and there without any of those MUST HAVE NOW cravings coming back
I do have a piece of fruit every day, and then cups of coffee & tea help too, as they have milk (skim) in them and it still feels like I'm having something comforting and a bit creamy.
I sometimes have it on muesli bars, or I've been buying a packet of these mini rice cakes (table of plenty) with dark chocolate on them. One bag a week, it has 4 serves in it so I divide them into 4 snap lock bags and keep them in the fridge. Then if I've got 70 calories left over, I know I can have one I think I ended up giving one pack to my nephew and one to my husband for his lunch though.0 -

OMG...You hit the nail on the head. I can't eat just one peice of a chocolate bar. I get very territorial over my chocolate and if there is an open bar in the cabinet, it becomes fair game for anyone in the house. I swear my kids can sniff out all the sweets even if I hide it all the way in the back of the cupboard.0

I basically cut excess sugar out of my diet a while back, no desserts, no candy, no chocolate, no ice cream, no sweet tea.. now that when I feel the need for something sweet, I can honestly only handle a couple of bites, because it all seems TOO SWEET and I dont even want it. The most I have is a half of a cup of mint chocolate chip ice cream or one or two Dove Promises. I could probably handle dark chocolate better, but I like the way that the sweets have become too rich for my tastes. Maybe try cutting yourself off for a couple weeks and see if your taste buds change?0
