    5'3"

    SW: 250lbs ---> Size: 22/24
    CW: 230lbs ---> Size: 20/22

    I haven't been in anything below a size 18 since before I graduate high school, so I have no clue how much I weighed when I did have lower sizes. I'm guessing when I was in an 18 I was between 180-200lbs.

    it's so hard to tell because brands vary so much!

    I am 5'4" when i started out I wore a size 10 and it was tight. I was about 150-155 lb.
    I wore an 8 when i was about 140-145 lb?
    I wore a 6 around 130-135 lb?
    Now I can wear some 4's and 5's... around 130 but more muscle tone now so it's really hard to tell what happened. When i was at my smallest (123) I was wearing 4's and 5's and i've gained 10 lb since then but can still wear the same pants... what happened, i don' tknow... muscle tone happened. loss of fat happened i think is the answer.

    Starting - 5'5" 256lbs size 20 pants

    Now - 5'5" 213lbs size 16 pants (loose)
  • wow good for u! even when i weighed 118 i never was smaller than size 7/8.....

    that is more about your body fat than your weight.

    I weighed 10 pounds less and dropped body fat from 24% to 18% and was comfortably in a size 2 at 130 pounds from a size 6 at 120 pounds.

    Starting 5'5" 165 lbs, size 12 (US) pants (probably should've been size 14, at least in some of them)
    Now 5'5" about 141 lbs, size 8 (US) pants, but most are a bit loose. :smile:
    Next time I go clothes shopping, I'll be trying some 6s to see how they feel, but I don't think I'm quite there yet, at least not in most brands. There probably are a few that I could easily fit into a 6.

    5'5"

    SW: 168 size 12
    CW: 135 size 6

    I have thick thighs. Even with all my running, they are still the hang up to smaller pant sizes. I do have 1 pair of jeans I just bought (likely mis-tagged) that are size 4. But that's the exception.
  • I'm 5'5". SW 250 and size 20, CW 227 and size 16-18.
  • I'm 5' 2 3/4"--does this count?. I weigh 178 and wear a size 16. I wore a 12/14 when I got to 150 lbs...would like that to be my goal (again)

    26.5 waist 35" around fullest part of hips/butt

    In women's I wear a comfortable size 2, in some brands a size 0 and I have a few 00 but that's clearly vanity sizing.
    In Jr's it usually a 3 or 5, sometimes a 1 again depending on brand.

    SW close to 170..163 my first weigh in. 34" waist 42" hips.. I was wearing a 12 or 14 in womens. Couldn't fit into Jr sizing

    I don't mean this to be rude, I'm just curious... but how are your sizes possible? I have the exact same measurements and I wear a US 6 (at 90% of stores)

    I'm 5'4" and I started at nearly 200 lbs and was wearing a size 16 (US sizes), although I probably could have fit into some tighter 18s. I'm now about 145 and I wear between and 8 and a 10, although it varies a lot because my waist is small and my thighs are big. The more forgiving the thighs of the pants are, the smaller I can go :-) My goal is to lose probably 10-15 more pounds (depends on what I feel like when I get there!) and I'll probably end up a size 6, maaaayyybe a 4 but I'm not pushing it. I don't think of my pants size as a game of golf; I don't need the lowest score!

    this is another example of where body fat (more than likely) plays a key role in pants size. The less body fat you have, the smaller the size will be.

    Even with the same measurements it's possible to be shaped differently. I'm pretty lean..have 94lbs of LBM at 119lbs. The shorts in the picture are an Old Navy XS.

    90% of my pants are size 2 and that is comfortably...I can not stand feeling snug in my clothes.
