I like the McD's fruit n yogurt - so to mimic it I buy Kashi Go Lean Crunch cereal and add that to vanilla yogurt and thawed frozen fruit.0

yep
its got lots of protein, calcium, and healthy bacteria.
if you're watching your sugar intake, be weary of the labels though. some of the flavored brands are high in the refined sugar.0 -
Greek yogurt is probably the best type to have. It's lower in fat, higher in protein and most brands that I've seen don't contain mcfranken food stuff like high fructose corn syrup. I usually eat one every morning for my snack. Read labels carefully. Most of the so-called healthy yogurts are nutrient traps!0

yes very good for you....like someone else said...the greek yogurts tends to be better0

I've been wondering about the Greek yogurts. I tried one with honey that was pretty high in sugar (most of them are and I do not do artificial sweeteners), but it was tasty! So they are generally healthier? Why?0

They have double the protein. Also try the plain flavors...much lower in sugar. All of the ones I've seen do not use artifical sweeteners.0 -

I get mine at all my regular local groceries stores. Fresh Market has the biggest selection around here, so I occasionally head the 15 miles to get it there.0 -
Like everyone said - Greek is the best. Less artificial ingredients and sugar. I LOVE LOVE the Honey-Vanilla Bean one made my Vaskos.
Most supermarkets carry greek yogurt now. I buy the Vaskos at Sprouts or Kroger. Trader Joes has their own generic brand too.0 -
What does everyone think about chobani? it is a greek yogurt but also has a lot of sugar. i am eating one right now.

In French Women Don't Get Fat, she says that plain yogurt is basically the main secret to her own weight loss. She says to start off adding fruit or sugar or sweetener and gradually eliminate it, and you will come to appreciate yogurt as a creamy tart treat. I added Splenda for a few weeks (it was easy to cut it out) and she was right. I just buy no-fat plain jane yogurt, but some say that low-fat maybe more beneficial.0

I've also tried greek yogurt--it's super healthy, but I'm not a big fan of the texture. That's just me, though--I don't like bananas or applesauce for the same reason. Content to be in the minority on this one, though. Everybody likes it, so go ahead and give it a shot!
Personally, I stick to Dannon Light & Fit. The flavors are mostly nice (cherry vanilla, raspberry white chocolate, toasted coconut and vanilla being my favorites, but I've found a few duds) and only 80cal. They're often on sale for 65 cents or less--that's a MAJOR bonus in my book.0 -
I am a yogurt lover! If you all like the greek yogurt texture just strain your regular (store brand) light yogurt in a cheese cloth for 24 hours. I personally use a coffee filter and use a cup or bowl to catch the liquid. This will save you money and it is good.:happy:0
