At the moment, I can't recall the best flavor I've ever had.
The most unique were garlic ice cream at a garlic-themed restaurant, and red bean ice cream in Chinatown NYC.

    Best: Tahoe Creamery Blueberry...OMG! Delish!

Weirdest: Bubblegum at Baskin Robbins. Uggh...that was just wrong on so many levels. Ice cream that you have to chew...and chew...and chew...

My favorite ice cream is butter pecan, and the most interesting was "Cantaloupe" by a local shop just outside of town. And it's so good!! My favorite during the summer! :)

Just added a most unique to my list. Last week at a little Tapas place in Washington DC I had Olive Oil Ice Cream with fresh grapefruit. Something they make there. Surprisingly light and refreshing. Whodda thunk!

Not so much a unique flavour, but I LOVED Spaghetti Eis in germany. whipped cream and spaghetti strands of ice cream with strawberry topping...looks just like a plate of pasta. Kind of bizarre convincing your brain and tastebuds to get on the same page at first lol. But yummy yummy.

My latest obsession is ben and jerry's strawberry cheesecake. Havent had any since joining MFP though :(

The world heavyweight champ of ice creams is 'cereal milk' ice cream from New York City. It's so good, it just smashed all your other ice creams in the face and is standing over them in victory. I know... it's attitude sucks... it's the most arrogant of the ice cream family. ><

The most unique ice cream is peppercorn. I saw it in Florida and thought awww I bet this is tasty and funky. No.... it really is just pepper in ice cream. Totally gross.

    I ate it all though.

No specific brand but a friend of mine has his own ice cream parlor and he makes the best ice cream in the world. The other day he made pink almond flower ice cream which tasted like marzipan with crunchy bit in it. Amazing!

Ooooh, I love different flavours of ice cream!

Here in Ireland I have have tried Guinness ice-cream - surprisingly good, that malty taste works well.

In Paris, there's a fabulous ice cream parlour on the Ille St Louis, called Berthillon, where I've have gingerbread flavour, and licorice flavour - both just divine.

And Provence in the south of France is famous for its lavender, so I've tried lavender flaovoured glace there.

One which didnt really work for me was parmesan flavour, which I had at Smiths Hotel, Gretna Green, after my wedding.
