Hi everyone... I'm new here. I began my official diet on Monday of this week. I'm 27 years old and I have had 4 kids over the past 5 years and I can't seem to drop the extra (40+) pounds) that I have been carrying around since becoming a mother. I think I eat pretty well, I avoid snacks and junk food, fast food and soda. I pride myself in my ability to cook, and I think I am pretty good at providing nutritious food for me and my family. But I have a hard time with portion control. If its there, I'll eat more... even if I tell myself that it has health benefits, I can't seem to stop myself from having seconds.

I signed up when I found the free calorie counter, I think that really put into perspective how many calories I am eating everyday. But I think its also important to have the support to really do it this time.

That is exactly how I felt!! Couldn't believe that through my "healthy eating" I was still eating too many cals.
    Hang in there!
