I have a pork tenderloin in the crockpot right now. Tenderloin 12oz of Coke, root beer, or Dr. Pepper. Cook on low all day. Scrumptious and easy!
My son LOVES when we make pulled pork....
Pork tenderloin and rootbeer in the crockpot on low all day, drain off the juice, shred, add bbq sauce, serve on wheat bun. Mmm Mmm good...LOL

    Eastern NC Crockpot Pulled Pork

Pork Shoulder or Butt (about 5 lbs, bone-in is best for deliciousness)
    1 tablespoon salt
    ground black pepper to taste
1 1/2 cups apple cider vinegar
    2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons hot pepper sauce - Texas Pete is best, Frank's Red Hot is good, too
    1 teaspoons cayenne pepper
3 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes

Put pork in crockpot, season with salt and pepper. Pour vinegar onto pork, cover, then cook on low for 12 hours (or high for 6 hours). Take pork from the slow cooker and throw away any bones. Strain out the liquid, and save 2 cups. Discard any extra. Shred the pork using forks, and return to the slow cooker. Stir the brown sugar, hot pepper sauce, cayenne pepper, and red pepper flakes into the reserved sauce. Mix into the pork in the slow cooker. Cover and keep on Low setting until serving, at least an hour for best flavor.

Taste will not be overly spicy (you can play around with cayenne and crushed pepper amounts). Huge warning - your kitchen/house will smell like vinegar. For me, this is awesome. For my fiance, it is okay. I've heard some people put their crock pot out in the garage. Just be fore-warned!

Another warning - if you don't actually live in NC, this may not necessarily be a kid-friendly recipe. Also, serving size in below nutrition facts is for almost 0.5 lb of pork. You do not need that much, trust me. If you want a good, hearty sandwich, you'll probably have half a "serving".
