A lot of websites take wrist size as being a thing to measure your weight/body fat

Mine is 6in is that good or bad?

How does it measure my body frame from that??

I`ve told you mine tell me yours!!

    7 inches as well!
  • It's a tool to correctly calculate your BMI if you use one of those online calculators. Your frame size makes a huge difference.

    It doesnt matter because your wrists can get fat with the rest of your arm. Mainly on the top part opposite your palm. My wrists measurement went down and what I once though was a medium-large frame is actually small. I only lost 30 something lbs too

    See, I will NEVER be 115 lbs! 6.5" It's either my huge arms...or it could be my big butt... Haha!

  • Mine's a hair beyond 5" too. I'm 5'4" and 143lbs. My frame is small and wrist is always small. Don't see how weight measures in, but I may be missing something.

    A doctor once told me wrist size is an indication of body frame because wrists don't gain weight. Uh...I beg to differ as I've seen it change since I've lost weight.

    My wrist size has gone down at least 1.5" to 2" since I lost weight.

    I am too lazy to google it, at the moment, what does wrist size have to do with weight loss?
  • Determining frame size: To determine the body frame size, measure the wrist with a tape measure and use the following chart to determine whether the person is small, medium, or large boned.

    Women:

    Height under 5'2"
    Small = wrist size less than 5.5"
    Medium = wrist size 5.5" to 5.75"
    Large = wrist size over 5.75"

    Height 5'2" to 5' 5"
    Small = wrist size less than 6"
    Medium = wrist size 6" to 6.25"
    Large = wrist size over 6.25"

    Height over 5' 5"
    Small = wrist size less than 6.25"
    Medium = wrist size 6.25" to 6.5"
    Large = wrist size over 6.5"

    Men:

    Height over 5' 5"
    Small = wrist size 5.5" to 6.5"
    Medium = wrist size 6.5" to 7.5"
    Large = wrist size over 7.5"

    I think that it will play role when setting your goal weight. I don't know how wrist size fluctuates when one gains or loses weight, I never gained in my wrists.

    I know that because I have a large frame I will never be able to get down to under 125-130 without looking like I just broke out of the concentration camp.
