Best Local Beer

What is the best microbrewery, or local, beer in your area? I don't care about national brands at all. If you're going to take on the calories you should, at least, enjoy it.

Fo me, that's Boulevard Brewing company. It's the only local micro-brew that I truly enjoy drinking.

Central IN has a number of really good local breweries! I particularly enjoy, in no particular order, Triton, Sun King, Thr3e Wise Men, & Upland.

I really don't drink any macro brew either, except Yuengling, but you can't get it in IN so it's abundant...

Bellwoods Brewery in Toronto is doing some really neat stuff, and you can't get much more local that than (well, relative to where I live!).

Favourite local beer would probably have to go to Ten Bitter Years by Black Oak Brewing - I'm happy to even just have a sniff of it, it's THAT good.

    Lagunitas

But I'm still partial to Anchor Steam, possibly one of the original microbrews.

Wachusett. Specifically their blueberry ale... yummy.

John Havard's brewery does an amazing spice ale during this time of year... but I don't know if you can get it anywhere but from the brewery itself.

Rahr Brewing in Fort Worth is awesome. Ugly Pug is one of the best, but their seasonal Winter Warmer is an event when it comes out.
  • Founders Brewing Company in Grand Rapids. All of its beers are AMAZEBALLS! Most notably the All-Day IPA, the red rye PA, and the porter!

hell yes! If I'm going to have a beer, it's going to be one I enjoy!
