The point of this thread confuses me. yes milk hydrates you. Anything with water hydrates you including things like fruit. tho the level of hydration depends on a variety of factors. Do people not understand this?

And drinking that much milk is actually standard practice for people trying to gain weight. Easy simple non filling calories. 2L a day does the body good.

The point of this thread was that it was a joke.

I would consider skim milk half water.... (I am not actually sure though, skim milk is just way to clear and watery looking for me personally).

Eh I would consider it half water half non water. It's a liquid, yes. But not all of it is water. How much milk do you drink a day?

Milk is AT LEAST 85% water. Fat content will alter the total water count.
  • Milk is mainly water - so yes it counts towards your fluid intake for the day.

    my thought exactly.

Beer counts as water too. Since the most abundant ingredient in beer is water.

But her trolling annoyed and confused people even after she revealed it was a joke. So even though the log doesn't add in troll points for that can she still count those towards her daily troll total and get more trolldom for it?

I throw steaks in a high powered blender until they are straight liquid and count them as water.

If you find you are drinking too much and your body is waterlogged, try freezing the water and eating it - then it doesn't count.

What if I boil it and then just inhale the steam, how many deep breaths of steam would I have to take in order to equal a cup of water?

That is a lot of calories to drink when you could be chewing your calories.

Can I add lemon juice to the milk to curdle it and then chew it?

But then I might throw up, so would I have to count the calories at all then?
  • hmmm if i dip a cookie into the milk its still counts as water right??????

I think you just turned cookies into water!!

i'm sorry, but there is no comparison. you can't home-bake them, and other brands try, but cannot emulate the greatness that is tim tam.

i have a friend who actually believed this.

her son was meant to be having a tongue tie correction and was booked on an afternoon theatre list, so had to fast from 6am. she was on facebook talking about how mean it was to do kids in the afternoon because it means they cant eat or drink all day, and a friend suggested she give him some crushed ice. she was like 'that's a great idea, i'll definitely do that!' and i (theatre nurse) was like 'if you do that, we will all judge you, and your son will have to do it all again another day'
