I've said this before, and I'll say it again: I was a beautiful, smart woman then too, with accomplishments and talents. I'm not defined by my body, and I was in no way less deserving or less wonderful than I am now. And you readers out there feeling like you're worthless because of your weight? Stop, right now. Wanting change does not mean you have to hate what or who you are presently. All self-hate will do is get in the way.

Love, LoVe, L O V E this ! ! Thanks for sharing the "inner" part of your journey, as well as the rest ! ! You have a gift of communicating with words (among other giftings), and I am just thrilled with this post ! ! Thanks SO MUCH for taking the time to express the truth of your story and life. I appreciate you, and all the encouragement you have given to so many through this (me included!) ...

Wow, your story almost seriously made me cry. You look absolutely wonderful and I learned something important after reading this. This past weekend I thought I did a horrible job, I ate 1800 calories instead of 1200, I had 2 "cheat days" and I did not work out on Sunday. After looking back at my diary, I realized, I had worked out every day that week, except Sunday. Most days I probably ate below 1200 calories (which is probably not very good for me). I ran a 5k twice that week. I ate tons of fruits and vegetables. Basically, I was being waaaaay too hard on myself. After reading your story, the thing that stuck out to me the most is what you said about cringing when people said "cheat days". I realized, it is ok to have a piece of cake and not feel guilty about it. It is ok to not work out every day of the week and not feel guilty about it. You said your healthy is eating pizza and cake and enjoying yourself. I just realized I need to rethink how to go about doing this so that I will stick with it for the long term and make this a lifestyle, not a phase. You gave me hope that I will eventually reach my goals as long as I stick with it and let myself have the things that make me happy! Not every day of course, maybe not even every week, but if there is an occasion that comes up, I need to embrace and enjoy and not feel guilty about it! I cannot be that hard on myself any more or this will never work. Thank you so much for sharing your story and good luck on reaching your future goals!
