I'm finally no longer "obese". I still want to lose a bit more, but it's a good feeling to finally cross that line.

Huge congrats! That just happened to me too, and leaving the "morbidly obese" category feels amazing!
  • Way to go tiger. I bet you are so proud. You probably feel more energetic and are more willing to walk farther and take the stairs. What a personal high. Congrats!

LOL I loved it when I reached that point. Keep going. No reason to ever give up. I almost gave up and finally reached my goal at age 50 --> http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/740340-i-lost-60-lbs-at-age-51-anyone-can-any-workout

While what worked for me might not work for everyone I hope you get at least a tidbit of something useful from my story.

Best of luck to you! -Bobbie

Great work, and great motivation to keep striving for those small victories on the way to "healthy." I'm down from Obese >> Overweight >> top range of healthy weight. It's a challenge every day to hold oneself accountable for that healthy-life-goal. I'm really happy for you, and all of us in the over-weight-club. Yippee! Keep it up and live with the consequences.

Heard that! When my doc told me I was no longer in the "obese" range for BMI, I just about danced a jig right there in the office.
  • Fantastic!! The journey is long and hard, but the payout is so very worth it. Keep up the good work.

When you start to think that it's just too hard to keep going, and it's soooo easy for other people to lose weight, remember this. The grass is NOT greener on the other side of the fence, it's greener where it's watered! So don't give up on yourself, Keep 'watering your own grass' and it WILL grow (and you will shrink!). Focus on yourself, not someone else. They may be luckier than you or they may work harder than you. This is YOUR journey, not their's. Do you best and don't give up.
  • Congrats and keep up the awesome job!
  • YES!!!! Leaving that OBESE category and being classified as OVERWEIGHT feels AWESOME!!! Cant wait to get to the next "level"!!! :-) GREAT JOB!!!!

Even though most people think that BMI doesn't really matter, going from one category to the next healthier one is a wonderful thing! You're doing great! In a few weeks, I will be also be very happy to be "overweight."
