I recently felt comfortable enough to change my pic from my Pink Mini to a real pic of me. We hide behind usernames and profile pictures. This is a site unlike other social sites where we can hide if we want to.

Ditto except i dont look that good in a bikini top. I'm Ben and I'm sure I have nude pics somewhere on the internet (why i stopped drinking) so i hide behind nothing!0 -

I think you all look amazing, it is so good to see so many people don't hide.
I sometimes read threads on here and wonder what some look like. They sound like beautiful people and are witty, supportive and helpful but they are hiding behind photos of what they want to be or things, like me and my car did.0 -

I'm crazy proud of how I look in my picture..it was taken after letting my hair down from a just-for-fun photoshoot with my gal pal (she talked me into it). I never used to show myself online, but in recent years I've gotten over my fear. I feel gorgeous for a change!0

When I first started on MFP, I used a picture of trees or something, then decided people probably want to know who is "talking" when I post something or send a message to someone. I love this picture of me and my boyfriend because we were being silly and having fun, and his daughter actually took the picture, so it means a lot to me for many reasons.0

I am not photogenic at all. Originally I had pictures of my dogs as my profile pic. Then someone took this picture of me and my husband and sent it to me. It's not great, but it's better than most pictures of me.0

I have an actual picture of me and my username is my actual name. Erienne isn't a very common name so if someone really wanted to find me, havnig first name last initial and picture they could haha. Woops. But I don't hide because the whole reason I'm here is to get real with myself and when I'm being held accuontable I do my best. So I keep everything open so that I'm more motivated to do the work so I'm not embarrased of myself everyday anymore.0

I hid for a bit in the beginning, but then I thought "What's the point?"
I'm in better shape and more confident than I have been in a decade.
My username is a function of my real name, and actually a nickname I've had since grade school. My real name is Lisa, and my last name starts with "La", and I went to school with about 4 other Lisa's (it was a popular name in the 80's). So Lila was born. 1980 is my birth year.0 -
Nope I don't hide at all. We have all worked damn hard to be where we are today. There is no shame is letting others see us and show how great we feel....within good taste!!
