I got stuck with a few $hitty nicknames as a kid, so I never gave any to my kids. Though sometimes I'll call one kid by the wrong name and it'll come out "Jerica" or ennifer!"

seriously being called joycemadelinelucydorothyhorsesassward when your mom is wanting to piss you off is more than enough reason to NOT want to give your kid any sort of nickname!
  • I have no clue why, but I call my daughter "Bubba" mostly. I call her some other funny names that I can't recall at the moment.

This is not my kids nickname but... Last year in school she had sex education. They learned the word fetus. She was born at only 24 weeks and was tiny. She asked me if she was a fetus. I told her technically no, once the baby comes out it's a baby. But because she was so small she wanted her friends to call her 'fetus'. For a while some of her friends did and it drove me nuts, but they forgot about it over the summer.

This story rules! You made me laugh out loud at work.
  • I dont have kids but my parents have a few popular names for me:
    SpongeBob
    Bub
Monkey Man (haha my favourite stuffed toy as a kid was a lemur I named monkey man, then my dad adopted the name to me)

My 3 year old son is called Jack and I call him Jackaroo sometimes. He used to have a toy called a jumperoo that they jump in, and he jumped in it a lot! I also call him my little angel, or sometimes just Jack Jack. When he was a baby I called him Mr Jack.

My 16 months old daughter is called Maya, and she doesn't really have a nickname, just Mayakins.

    Mine aren't too crazy either

Oldest is Anna Kathryn but it got shortened to just Anna over the years. She's Anna Banana, banana or just nana

Son is Jasper. He's J-man, the dude, dude man, boo, J, jazz, dj jazzy jeff which then became 'the fresh prince' Lol

Youngest is Stella. I say Steeeeelllla as in street car named desire a lot. Stells bells, bells, baby bell, steyya - that's how she pronounced it forever and sister bell
