Awesome! Thanks for sharing your story ~ I can really associate to the part you were talking about your friend Jason and how great it must feel like being like someone like him. I used to be a Jason and Im working to get back to that. Thanks for reminding us there's folks like you/us who can succeed! <3

You know... I've been looking for someone like you!

I really wanted to hear from someone who went from morbidly obese to physically fit and how long it took them. I only started 18 months ago, but I get discouraged often because I am not yet where I want to be. I have to remind myself that this was never going to be a quick fix! 13 years is a long time to work for something, but you deserve all those good feelings that you have about yourself now. You are absolutely amazing and truly inspiring! Thank you so much for posting this!!
  • I actually lost 138 lbs in my first year thirteen years ago...but have had so many ups and downs in between...it took a good while to develop a healthy lifestyle and not do the extremes of dieting and exercise. At one point I had put back on almost 75 pounds...I've been fighting and I'm not going back!

I'm sure people still whisper when you walk into a room *but in a good way :) I admire your dedication, and know how hard it is to make good decisions, when it's so much easier to have a bowl of chips and mope. Amazing job... good luck with everything.

Great story of courage. Really I am a little speechless. When someone pulls themselves up from the very bottom and by sheer will and determination totally changes their life for the better I am awe struck each and every time.

I understand a lot of what you say- the toxic people you had to lose, the nay sayers, etc. In spite of things in your way- you soldiered on and became the best YOU, you can be.

Why people wouldnt cheer for that I will never know. Congrats to you, your health and all the new and amazing things you will do now with the New You.

Enjoy Life Sir- YOU earned it!
  • 148.8 pounds lost now in total....before and afters in this thread, I believe on page 3 or 4

  • thanks for sharing your story with us!
it is very inspiring! I can relate on sooo many levels.
  • Wow. If you were in Weight Watchers or something like that, they'd do a series of commercials about you!!! You have an incredible story! You may want to try talking to teens and kids who have weight problems; they may need to know that it CAN be done! Wise move removing destructive people from your life. Sometimes you just have to do that to survive.
  • I have 1.2 pounds to go...if I've encouraged you, encourage me today by leaving me a note, I need to push through and make this...this last leg hasn't been easy! All the best, Maximum
  • The last few can be the hardest. Bring it with this last 1.2 lbs! Crush it, kill it! No turning back now!! You own this!
