Couch to 5k - for a bike??

Does anyone know if theres a program like the C25K, but aimed towards cycling instead of running/jogging?

I just got a bike, and looking forward to riding and would like something like the C25K challenge

if i can't find anything i think i'll just follow the c25k....do a light cycle for warm up, then just up the speed for the "jogging" part and do a good pace for the "walking" part, then do a light cycle again for the cool down lol

    I haven't seen one, but sounds like your on a good start!
    I'd love to be able to do a Century Ride . . . .
  • Check prevention.com. I think I have seen some programs for bike - it does include interval, short blast cycles, etc.

    I have not seen one. I bought me a new bike last summer to get me motivated. Find some organized rides in your area and start off with the shorter distances and the other riders will help motivate you into doing longer distances. If you have a bike computer with RPM, then keep it above 75 RPM, because it will help you in the long run.

    I'm planning on doing a century ride in August. I plan on doing a lot of cycling once it get's warmer. Feel free to friend me and good luck.

    TnT - I don't know if theres organized rides in my area, but great idea i'll check into that! i picked up a bike computer yesterday so that i could tell how far i've gone, lol! but i'm not sure if it has RPM. when i put it on the bike later this afternoon i'll check

    i don't think i'm really looking to do any type of things like the century ride....just want to get back into biking! when i was younger a friend of mine and i would go out biking almost every day for well over an hour and i loved it. i'm looking forward to going out for my first ride! :)
