At ideal weight, but need to trim down body fat

HI! I'm a mom to 3 kids, have had 3 c sections...I'm 5.5 and I weight 125. I'm at an ideal weight, but looking to lose that little bit of extra body fat around my midsection still... want to have my 6 pack abs back. There is no option in settings for "at ideal weight, lose body fat" any suggestions, I don't think that the calories this site is couting will be right for me. I had to choose maintain weight. Suggestions?

Thanks!

  • Walking is a GREAT way to get rid of midsection fat. That's why WW advocates it so much; I don't know why, but midsection tub just melts away when you walk.

I have read that eating lowfat dairy each day will cut down belly fat. Other than that cardio workouts.

i have a similar problem. one of my teachers told me that i should do work outs that burn calories slowly, like walking.

i wish i could take long walks outside and get some fresh air, however i don't feel that burning lungs, throat, and skin in 2 degree weather are worth the calorie burn. for now, i'm stuck inside on a stationary bike or taking short walks at school. i want spring. :brokenheart:

is it possible that what you need is toning of your midsection more than you need to lose weight? I found when I started doing some strength training pilates (which are really good for your core) that even though I wasn't losing all that much weight I felt like I was because everything was getting held together tighter.
  • Yeah... not looking to lose weight... I'm only 125. I have a rather stong core from teaching group fitness classes. I do a ton of planks each workout with lots of variations on them. Still always continuing to strengthen. i think that after 3 kids, there just might be a little bit of leftover... still want to drop a little body fat though.
