Don't think of it as a "diet". Think of it as more of a lifestyle change. I'm just counting calories and watching my macros (carbs, fats, protein). Next week I'm cutting the carbs and doing a ketogenic plan.0

The "whatever I want within my calories and macros diet!"..0

I eat foods I enjoy while tracking calories, protein, carbs, and fats. When I want to lose weight I eat slightly less calories than I need. When I want to gain weight I eat slightly more.0 -

No diets, diets are crap.
Eat properly, work out/exercise, and the rest will fall into place.0 -
There's a reason the word "diet" contains the word "die", diets always die. A diet is not sustainable in the long term, because it usually means restricting or severely limiting yourself from certain foods, usually ones you love. You crave them and crave them until you can't take it anymore and then you binge and feel terrible because you went off your diet.
As someone else mentioned, this is a lifestyle change. I eat what I want, when I want. I just eat way smaller portions of it. I'm not restricting myself from the foods I love, so I don't feel deprived at all.0 -
I agree, it's a lifestyle change. I've just been eating healthier, more fruits and veggies, less fatty foods and junk food, and have been exercising more, mostly running and yoga . Been having smoothies for breakfast and I love it. I've been feeling so much better. Other than that I'm vegetarian, have been for years .0

I call it "eating healthy stuff."0

I'm too much of a rebel to follow any particular diet. I focus on meeting nutritional goals instead.0

di·et/ˈdī-it/
Noun:
1) The kinds of food that a person, animal, or community habitually eats.
2) A legislative assembly in certain countries.
I habitually eat a protein shake for breakfast, some kind of chicken or turkey or ham something for lunch (usually a wrap), and whatever my wife cooks for dinner. There are veggies, yogurts, cheese, some chocolate from time to time, homemade protein bars, eggs, oatmeal, plenty of bananas, etc, etc, etc. There are days we go out to eat too.
At the end of the day, for the most part, it's calorie count and macros to the best of my ability.0 -

This.
Habitually, I eat lots of beans, lean ground beef, chicken breast, protein shakes, egg whites, frozen veggies, and oats.
I try to be in the vicinity of my macros, and my calorie goal. and I make it a point to be normal and eat what is served in social situations.0 -
I've been eating real (nutrient-dense) food, cutting the processed stuff, minimising sugar, avoiding grains, legumes and cutting back on dairy (cheese, I don't drink milk at all). Not much fruit either.
I guess that makes me a bit Paleo and lower carb (I prefer to think of it as adequate carb) but it's just a framework for me, there are plenty of deviations from the path.
I've been doing it for about 6 months now and pretty close to maintenance having struggled to make progress on the more "balanced" plans. I guess I was insulin/leptin resistant after being a total carb monster for a long time.
As long as I am primarily a fat/ketone burner and my blood glucose level is stable (no excessive hunger or cravings) I'm happy.
I won't be changing much for maintenance either.
Very little exercise too ...0 -
The "Food" diet. I just eat more whole wheat, more vegetables, less processed stuff.0

I'm grain free. Its not a crash diet because I will always be grain free. It is however, my diet. I have Celiac, so I can't eat many grains anyway and my body is happiest when I eat none. Its keeping me losing weight, nice and slow.0

I'm in menopause so started a diet to help reduce oestrogen dominance and eating less food that may contain it eg animals are fattened up with it so certain meats are off the menu but others are allowed. Also using progesterone cream as part of it ..together they are meant to reduce the abdominal fat which is a result of the oestrogen dominance.
It's basically healthy eating lots of vegetables, citrus fruits, they allow wholemeal bread and pasta though I'm also gluten free. They recommend drinking water with lemon in and no caffeine or alcohol.0 -
I'm enjoying Weight Watchers Propoints diet0

I'm on the "eat anything that I'm not allergic or intolerant too" diet. That equals out to a plant based diet with no tree nuts or gluten. So a lot of potatoes, rice, quinoa, fruts and veggies. And smoothies. Smoothies are a life saver.0

How many carbs will your daily intake be?0
-
I follow a healthy diet made up up a certain percentage of Protein, Carbs and Fats. I lift weights, so I need a bit more protein, especially since I follow a Pesce Vegetarian lifestyle. I eat no more than 26 grams of fat per day; try to keep my carbs at 135 grams per day and my proteins at 70 grams + per day. My typical day consists of a pre-gym food; I eat 3 meals per day plus two snacks. I never eat fruit after 7pm at night.0

I try to eat as many natural foods and stay away from processed foods yet start within my macro limits.0
