Hi there

M name is Donna, I am from New Zealand. ANd am very new to this calore counting process. It is a bit over whelming. ANy tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Also can anyone please tell me how much 1 pound is in kilograms please

    Here's my advice:

    Just start by tracking everything. See where you are now with your calorie intake. Spend some time in the grocery store looking at food labels and spend time in the food database here looking at the calorie content of stuff. Do a search here in the forums for "staple foods" or "food must-have" or things of that nature. Over time you'll learn how to make your favorite stuff lower in calories... some changes you'll make and others won't be worth it to you. It's your life. You choose.

    More advice... drink lots of water, eat lots of fiber and eat lots of protein. When you combine quality protein with fiber at each meal you'll stay fuller longer.
