Can I add some friends also?, im new here and hoping to loose 45 pounds...0

At one point, I had around 150 to lose, I lost a lot of that by myself then got stuck for several years with 100 lbs to lose. I lost 30 on MFP, and am stuck again for several weeks. When I got referred to MFP I thought this whole place was for obese people - but its my FITNESS pal. That means there are people who only have 10lbs left to lose, but may have lost 100 already and there are people with nothing to lose, just keeping themselves level. There are also those trying to gain weight, and some just monitoring food ingredients, e.g. keeping sodium intake down.0

The more you LOSE the LOOSER your clothes will be.
Its MyFitnessPal - not MySpellingPal or MyTrollPal0 -
I want to lose about 120 lbs to get to my goal weight, though if I lose 100, I'd be perfectly happy. Add me if you want I just started a month ago, and already down 3lbs!

Staring that big number that you have to lose in the face is really tough. I've lost 22 since August 1st and I'd like to lose another 98. The number overwhelms me sometimes and makes me sad. Then a new day comes and I try to stay the course. One day at a time. One foot in front of the other.
We're here to cheer you on!0 -
Nope, you're not alone [obviously at this point with all the responses ^_^]. I would definitely like to lose 100 lbs and when I get to that point, Ill determine what else to do from there. I have no idea what 165 looks like on me, Ive always been big, even as a kid. I started this off at 265 and am now at 249. I try not to look at it as "Omg.. I still have 84lbs to go!", I set mini goals. My first goal is 245, that was how much I weighed after 2 of my pregnancies. My next goal will be 215, my weight after I had my twins. And so on and so forth from there. Im definitely going to send you a friend request, I dont currently have any weight loss buddies that are doing anything right and my husband is no help lol. We can do this together!!0

I am new too. Love friends to help me and to help.0

You are not alone...ive got 100lbs, one day at a time....feel free to add me...0

Everyone is different. I am currently 217 which is also my starting weight and i haven't had my first weigh in yet. I want to get down to 135-140 not skinny but healthy. Add me and we can be on this journey together. With motivation you can do it! Good Luck.0

I just want to thank everyone for being so positive and so encouraging. I just joined MFP and while the weight loss seems overwhelming at times, your kind words move me to keep at it. Thank you.0

I have 60-80 more to go, add me if you like0
-
Hi, I have 80lbs to lose to get to my 1st Big goal (my pre pregnancy weight) I would love to lose another 40lbs after that, so in total I would love to lose 120lbs0
-
You are not alone. I want to lose 90 pounds. About 3 years ago, I lost 100 pounds. I can't believe it, but I gained 90 back.0
-
I have another 55lbs to go. I'm in this for the long haul. Feel free to add me!0

I've already gotten rid of 130 pounds... I still have around 15 pounds to shed...
I've learned that what one person considers a mountain, another may consider a mole hill... and vice versa...
What is important isn't the number you want (or need) to lose. It is the fact that you're here, working toward your goal... and there are a LOT of us here working toward that same goal (not necessarily the number, but the result of getting to where we want to be)0 -
Ohhhhh, no. I need to lose 100 lbs. Am tired of looking like a "fat American" to others when I travel. I just moved to Seattle and find that the atmosphere is one of physical activity and fitness. It will be a challenge to fit in, but am determined to participate in the Seattle zeitgeist and get as fit on the outside as I long to be inside. Good luck with your quest.0

100 Ibs seems to be a very low weight to be aiming for, op.
Are you really short or something ?0 -
Oh, no, you're not alone!! Feel free to add me as a friend.0
-
I have about 150 lbs to lose. I am 7 lbs closer to my goal. Feel free to add me.0
