BLACK FOREST YOGHURT
This really turns nonfat yoghurt into a great dessert or substitute for breakfast pastry:
8 oz nonfat yoghurt
splenda brown sugar baking mix 1/2 tsp (add more to taste, but it's twice as sweet as sugar 1/2 cal) or splenda to taste
vanilla extract 1/2 tsp to taste
1 tsp cocoa powder
pinch of trader joe sliced almonds or tsp pecan or walnut pieces
1 tbsp drained Trader Joe jarred morelo cherries
mix all together really well, esp. to blend cocoa powder. Its really good if you put it in the freezer for about 1/2 hour--don't freeze, just get really cold.
calories--about 120 for the yoghurt, 40 for the cocoa powder, 20 for the brown sugar mixture or none for splenda, 50 for the cherries, maybe 40-50 for pinch of nuts (small pinch). So, about 240 for all--good protein breakfast or lunch.0 -
