I would say, no. Not worth it, and not necessary.
You're young and in your photos you look like you're a healthy weight. Please don't destroy your body.0 -
<--- uses fat burners.... but also knows how to properly diet and train. If used correctly they won't destroy your body but could do so to your wallet.I would say, no. Not worth it, and not necessary.

There are many things that will help you burn fat and when I say help you is that they will help you and not actually make you lose fat. Your diet is what matters really as this will be said to you.
1. L-arginine from now when taken 3g-5g a day.
2. Caffeine
3. keto dhea
4. ephedrine but avoid it0 -
True. I'm trying to be a specimen of awe. lol
Diet is 80% of your progress. If you're not eating properly and working out with the needed intensity any supplementation you could possibly use is going to be wasted. Even as a sales rep for a supp company I recommend nothing until I know youre diet and training are in check.0 -
I used diet pills a few years ago. In 3 days, I lost 6lbs.
I also felt like I was on crack or speed or something (not a drug user, so I don't know what each drug would feel like lol), I was jittery, my heart pounded and I had a migraine the whole 3 days I took them. As soon as I flushed the rest, and "came down" .. my headache left, I felt better and I gained the 6lbs. Why? It didn't teach me how to eat.0 -

Ephedrine is the best out there - stack with caffeine and aspirin for the win.
-Chromium if you feel sugar craves and "sweet tooth."
-Vitamin C with every meal, 1000mg
-Raspberry ketones, but they kill my strength
-Gymnema sylvestra, cinnamon bark extract, grapefruit, reservatrol, lineolic acid are all natural forms of insulin mimickers to aid nutrient partitioning.
^Huh... just noticed all of those things can be found in foods. *hint*0 -
As with most supplements not being FDA regulated its all a gamble you never really know what is in the product you buy from meal replacements, shakes, pills etc. It is all a big billion $ industry meant to make you think that you will be fat without buying their products.0

If you know about supplement science you can eliminate the gamble but 99.5% of MFP doesn't fall in this category.
That or "Take this pill and next week you'll have abs! No need to workout or eat right!"0 -
okay, so back in the day, when i was much younger, i tried different types of diet pills. Overall, Not worth it. Not even because of the money but your health.
When i was bigggg into working out and eating right, to supplement my weightloss, i would stack caffeine and ehepdrine ( I know, SOOOO STUPID, but again i was much younger minded). And what this did for me , was give me ample energy because like someone else posted, it must feel like using speed or something lol. So when i would work out i would do it for longer, and higher speeds etc.
The down fall effects is your always on to go and hyper feeling. I started getting restless leg syndrome in my sleep, my leg(the nerves in my leg) would make it jump kinda thing.... my husband ,bf at the time was like what the hell is wrong with you....lol and also your heart beats way to fast. I now know that it could potentially kill you, like speed, cocaine etc can.
Don't do it!! Do it the healthy and proper way:)0 -
Instead of spending money on diet pills, consider using whey protein powder and vitamin supplements. Including these into your diet will help provide your body with the nutrients you need while cutting calories so that your metabolism can keep revving while at a calorie deficit.
Most of those over the counter diet supplements are based on caffeine to help increase energy for exercise. Just have some coffee or green tea for an energy boost, and save your money.0 -

I don't buy fat burners, I just build them lol. Why pay 20 bucks extra to have a supplement company build them for you0 -
You mean like buy bulk powders and play alchemist? Do you have a pill capper? If so, where did you get it. Right now I'm parachuting berberine and still taste it. Yuck.0

if diet pills worked no one would be fat.
And uh . . . ya . . . if things are stuck, laxatives are a good way to go.
However, if you're asking if laxatives are a good way to lose weight, you need to step back and re-evaluate.0 -

I disagree. If diet pills worked, all the people who don't WANT to work would continue to eat over maintenance, and just take a pill.0 -

Typical American mentality. Sigh.
OK. Diet pills/fat burners/ energy boosters are categorizes as dietary or sports "supplements." WHY? Because they are designed to *supplement* proper diet and exercise. Yes, they work... some are garbage and some are backed by very well documented metabolic and endrocrinologic science and known pathways of fatty acid metabolism most often by beta-2androgenic receptor stimulation, increasing cAMP in adipose tissue, 3,5-diiodo thyronine to increase TSH secretion for positive feedback to T3 circulation, or revving up the TCA cycle in mitochrondrial respiration, or maybe acting on the dopamine receptor to increase GH output by the hypothalamus or a combination of all these things I've confused you with.. So then why don't the "good ones" work? Because your diet sucks and you dont work out right... period.0 -
HUH!!!!!!!!!!!0

^ Exactly... theres a chance, an ever so slight chance, I know what I'm talking about. Just saying.
I'm going to bed.0
