8 week challenge!!

I'd be happy for any weigh in day - happy to go with the majority. Will this be a closed group or will we have to keep an eye out for a thread?
I'm currently 219 and would aim to be 205.
So does this mean that we are now offically in week 1?

To create a group go to my home and then there is a 'groups' tab - click on this and you can create your own group and invite all those people who are interested in taking part in the challenge. It would mean it would be easier to follow than to search through our recent posts.
how do i know if that is a closed group or not? i always find where iv wrote from my 'recent posts' part, or off my profile, quite new to posting threads, and yea this can be officially week 1 but if any one joins later thats fine0 -

the plan is, weekly weigh ins of a thursday, if everyone could give their measurements also that would be great and any one who feels comfortable doing so, post before, during (4 weeks in) and after photos on the last day, final weigh in, thursday 29th november, any tips or words of encouragement welcome
Can I stick with a Monday ? Call my final weigh-in 26th November ?0 -
I really like this idea, but want to keep my weigh-ins on Mondays. I'll see how that helps/hurts me to change my weigh in to Thursday---I'll try it. I just feel like my Monday weigh-ins keeping me from blowing it on the weekends.0

Hi everyone, im going on holiday the 1st week in december, i want to try and get down to at least 126lb for then, im 5''4, right now i weigh 141lb, i weighed 146lb a couple of weeks ago so iv already lost 5lb, need to lose another 15lb, does any one want to do this challenege with me, give me motivation??

I would love to join. As of today I am 200.4. I will post my weight on Thrusday and do measurments (gag). I have RA so it is hard to exercise but I am really going to try to start. Even if it is just the elliptical at the gym, I know losing weight will help tremendously with my joint pain and I need to get that under control.
My goal is 15lbs by my 41st birthday which is Dec. 4th.0 -

I am usually fairly good until the weekend approaches. The busier I am the better I am because when I lay around food is what I want to eat. UGH! I am 146 I would like to be 135 by the beginning of Christmas. Are we going to add goals from week to week? How do we go about this? I have never done a group on here.0

Yea you could add what your following week goal is, we'l be doing 1st weigh in thursday and then every thursday following until the 29th of november, before during and after pictures if you want to do that. and stats, good to have you on board0 -

I'm in! I think 15 pounds in 8 weeks sounds like a good goal. I have more to lose, but that's a good place to start. I seem to be the only one in my family trying to lose weight, so a support network would be good...0

So, 15 lbs in 8 wks? Sure! Bring it on!! It would be very difficult for me as it has never worked. I will take any loss as I am struggling with plateau!

I need some motivation, I'm in! I feel like my weight yo-yos a lot. My doctors says a 5-6lb swing is normal but I have such a hard time losing and maintaining, and it's really bumming me out I'm not sure of my current weight (probably 137) but I want to get down to 125.0

I never weighed in on Mondays... but it is a great idea because it will keep me focused during the weekends. I'm currently 147 and I'm trying to get to 135. A few months a go I was 141 so I def need to get back it.0

I'd love to join this challenge as well! I am doing another one which is until New Years, with Monday weigh ins, so would prefer to weigh in Monday here as well if that is all right (note that some weekends we go away, so I may occasionally be a day late with the weigh in.). Would love the extra push for motivation and support that a good group gives! I'd like to lose 15 pounds in the 8 weeks (current weight is 158.2 pounds). I'm 5'3 and 145 now... my BMI is @ 24% though and I'd like to tone and get that down more! Recently found out that I'm very anemic which is why I kinda fell out of the routine of working out. I was just so tired all of the time!
I've changed my diet, cut out sodas and in one week lost 5lbs... I want to keep the momentum going! :bigsmile:0 -
It is amazing what cutting out something as simple as sodas can do for you!!0
