Good Ab and Obliques Workouts?

Options
Does anyone have Good Ab and Obliques Workouts I could possibly do at home. I am already working on the cardio part and I know I have a long ways to go until I look anything like this... but I totally want abs around or like this before I go on my honeymoon next August or maybe sooner :)

Those are some nice abs Acg67! Take his advise -- diet is 95% of it -- for the other 5% try Pilates. If you are looking to really change your diet read "wheat belly" -- makes a correlation between wheat products, belly fat, as well as women and hormones. I dont' follow that diet --- and I don't have nice abs either!

The AB routine from P90X (AB Ripper X) is a great 15 minute AB workout you can do at home. I think you can even see it on You Tube. Like the above poster said though...diet is 95% of the battle. You can put in all the work but if you are not eating clean and staying under your calories all your hard work will go down the drain. The food is my biggest challenge most days. Good luck!

Not to burst your bubble but ...The thing about abs is they are made in the kitchen and they take alot of work. You can do ab workouts 10 times a day but if you don't change your diet you will never attain six pack abs as a female. Unfortunately that is where we naturally carry most of our weight. Things you should cut out of your diet are refined sugars, bad carbs (ex: white bread, flour, pasta), alcohol salt and dairy are the main ones. You should start eating plenty of green veggies and protein. I have a friend who is a pro body builder and when she is leaning up all she eats is boiled chicken and plain steamed veggies. I myself have decided I will never have a 6 pack because there are to many thing I like on that list, dairy and beer are the big ones.

As for an ab routine you could do sets of 25 of each of these:

    Bicycles sitting on you butt
Side oblique crunches (25 on each side)
    ins and outs
    sit ups
    regular crunches
mason twist (I do 60 of these)
    Heels to heaven
figure 4 (25 on each side)
crunch and hold for 30 seconds
    side plank taps

That makes sense... I need to change up the diet for sure... Love healthy food.. I just get so bored with it... Mind over matter I guess... I may go healthy food shopping next week.

i agree that diet is the main factor in having a flat stomach, but it won't hurt to do some prone jack knifes. actually, it will kind of hurt. but in a good way.

One of the best, and cheapest inventions ever made for this: the Ab Wheel. Use it properly for 30 minutes to an hour on your off days. You'll probably feel like you tore something the first few times you use it, but that's how you know it's working.

I normally hate 'fad inventions', but that thing, for being so simple, will set your midsection on fire. Just make sure you use it on your knees and not your feet until you get stronger, or you may well injure yourself.

Oh, and don't expect to see abs until you are well below 15% bodyfat.

Deadlifts... All you need to do to work the core. To get abs, just have a low BF%.

POP PIlates/Blogilates. She has some super awesome, tough ab/oblique workouts (as well as just all over body)

But of course this will only build your abs. You'll need to lower your body fat to actually show your abs though (so mainly nutrition for that)

I don't see any abs. I see a flat tummy caused by eating healthy but I don't see anything you would need exercise to get. It's a simple matter of diet.
