I did it!!!! Walked right into the gym...

First time stepping foot in the gym in a looooong time...Upper body strength training, right along side all the young high school boys. There I was...42 year old me...bicep curls, hammer curls, shoulder presses...etc. (thanks to my honey for all his help with the exercises, etc. - but I was in the gym solo). I was so intimidated at first...but, I put on my game face, walked in like I'd been doing it for ever and it all fell into place!! A HUGE thank you to everyone here for your words of support and encouragement - you were ALL right!!!:happy:

    Excellent start. Now just keep ripping those weights off of the floor. Who knows, there may come a time when you make those high school boys look like total sissies with your lifts. ;)

    Women who can squat 3.5x bodyweight...these are the things that awesome is made of.

    Good for you - do your thing girl. To be honest, I work out at my gym 6x a week and I never even pay attention to the others around me. I'm doing my own thing. Everyone at your gym is probably the same!
