whole wheat tortillas?

I was shocked to see that one piadina (Italian flatbread similar to a tortilla) has at least 300 calories!!
I switched to corn tortillas (125cal), because that's the only alternative I could find!
I cannot for the life of me find whole-wheat tortillas (or piadinas) anywhere here! So what to do? MAKE MY OWN
))
Do you have any true & tried recipe??

Technically, tortillas are considered "exotic food" in the grocery store, so there's not much variety...I'd say I was lucky to find corn tortillas.
The Italian cousin is the piadina, but it's a regional food and whole-wheat versions just don't exist.0 -
I'm in Texas and I LOVE the Mission Carb Balance Whole Wheat Tortillas. The small ones are only like 80 calories.0

Hmmm, do you have a walmart? I know I know, lots of people hate Walmart. BUT, it's where I buy low carb high fiber tortillas. They're Don Poncho brand. Something like that. They taste good too!0

My recipe is: 2 cups whole wheat flour, 1 tsp salt, pinch baking powder
1/4 cup softened butter
add water until large dough ball is formed
Makes 8-9 tortillas depending on how big you divide it up.
A tortilla press is good to have although I also roll them out more because I find them to be too thick right out of the press.
Pan fry (without oil) on medium heat.0 -
Well, the recipe's not mine mine. I didn't make it up, but it's been a while. I don't even remember where it came from. lol0
