Plateued!

I've been doing this since June, but started on my fitness pal in july and have had a steady weight loss of around 2 lb per week. I'm eating 1200 calories per day, more when I exercise which is at least 5 days per week. Ive lost 23lb so far. Monday's I do body combat and Zumba for an hour each, tuesdays is Zumba for 45 minutes and swimming for 30-45 mins, Wednesday swimming 30 mins and Zumba for an hour. I then try to go swimming for 30-45 mins on either Thursday or Friday and then again on Sunday mornings for 45 mins. However for the last two weeks I haven't lost any weight and have fluctuated by 2lb by the end of the weekend. I will keep going but my motivation is dwindling a bit and I just want to know how long this will last and if I should be doing anything different? Any help would be much appreciated!

I plateued around the -20 mark and it lasted for two...yes, TWO months! I finally had to up my calories from 1400 to 1880 and I started chugging water like no one's business. Finally took off almost 10 more lbs and I've platueaed again. Hope it doesn't last another 2 months...I'll die, haha.

2-3 weeks is a good length of time before you can say your on a plateu, especially if you are 100% diligent with your logging so know your getting that calorie defacit! To break a plateu you need to change it up! maybe change your work out to do something different (i.e swap from running to swimming) or change your diet ratios (i.e more protein, less carbs or the other way round) or go up to maintainance for a week and then back down to -a calorie defasit or do what shellsrenee01 did and up your calorie intiake (NET) by 150kcal....

These should help you break that plateu!

I just broke mine today. Almost two weeks of the scales not moving a bit. I upped my calories, changed the routine at the gym and the scales now seem to be slowly on the way down again. Hang in there!
