After getting drunk last night and hammering the forums I got thinking why do I drink and when did I last go a weekend without one.(1994 or something!)

So new challenge for me, maybe my hardest one yet no Alcohol November.

Anyone else in?

Good idea! I know I drink far too much and it can't be good for my body. I'm in!

I'm in!! I haven't drank since December LOL ... I've felt so much better, in every respect since cutting it out.

I'll give it a try. I go through spurts, but it definitely messes with my calories as I tend to overeat when I drink. Need to stop giving into social pressure :)

I would join in but I know I'm gonna want wine on Thanksgiving.

If it is seriously something you want to do for yourself why wait until next month? I've never been much of a drinker but with food I wasted years before getting serious by always planning on doing it next year, next month, Monday, etc.

I'm the wife of a Marine... need I say more about my drinking habits?? hahaha, those boys can drink! :) I used to have a few drinks with my husband every night (and wondered where the extra pounds came from!) Even light beer adds up quickly. So 2 weeks ago, I started a running program and cut out alcohol. It was easier than I thought -- I just needed some motivation. I'm not saying I won't drink occasionally, but drinking every day just isn't a healthy option for me. (My husband isn't too excited to lose his drinking buddy, but he's still being supportive.) <3
