I went to see "The Dark Knight" in theaters with a guy friend a few years back, and the scene on the prison ferry where the huge black inmate advances on the guy who has the remote detonator says "Give it to me. I'll tell every one I took it by force." At the exact same time we turned to each other and whispered "that's what she said" and we both started cracking up.

Curious - at what age (average) does the mind go from taking a completely innocent remark deep down to the gutter??

There are times I'll hear a comment which is supposed to very innocent but my mind goes very much in the opposite direction. And... there are times when I will say something very innocent and the recepient will take it completely out of context.

But I was wondering *when* did this happen? LOL My kids say the dardest things - so innocent and sometimes I start laughing but they haven't a clue why.

For most boys I'd say age 13 or 14 ... and I'm 40 with Not Even a Hint that it's coming back out of there .... ;)
I also have kids ... 3 boys (17, 16, 9) ... and I am often SOOOO THANKFUL that sometimes they "haven't a clue why" ... But not much gets past the two older anymore!

Should have been in the shop today, when even my instructor lost it when I asked a classmate to "Measure my hole." I am going to school for machining, and was worried I bored a hole in a part too large, but couldn't get an accurate reading.
  • I still get comments that I am too naive

It starts early, for me about 9 or 10

This morning a lady I work with was out of breathe getting to a meeting. She said "I just heard about this but for you, you know I always come quick"..................I looked around the room and everyone was snickering...............everybody, all the time

My English teacher in secretarial school was talking about something, and then he said, "Pardon the boner". I started laughing. I was the only one laughing. Apparently it also means "mistake".
  • Sinners, all of you
