How many are obsessed with working out?

Me,if I don't workout i get depressed,i go 6 days sometimes 7 days.This all started when i joined this forum and started keeping track of my calories..

Nah..I find that being extreme in any direction is a sure fire way to set myself up for failure.0

I think of it like brushing my teeth, or bathing. You do it everyday b/c it feels good. Obsessed? Maybe, but I don't like how I feel when I don't do it.0

I'm the opposite. I commit a million billion percent or I don't do it at all. I do have obsessive tendencies though, so I'm either off or on.
I have been off lately... had an injury that got me unable to go and then a week with 2 all nighters and an average of like 4 hours of sleep the rest of the time because I was spending ALL my time working on something for school... but I'm going to get back. Went today and hopefully going tomorrow.
Before this spell, I hadn't taken a full week off for a year... so I guess the break is probably not a bad thing. But I'm feeling icky about having missed so much time!0 -

I feel like I cant exercise enough and it started when I joined here0

Not sure I'd call it an obsession but since all my other hobbies are either prohibitively expensive or prohibitively time intensive it has become my number one pass time for personal time.
I am excited to have gotten to the point that I really crave the work and, since I don't lift on weekends, I am dying to get there on Monday.0 -
I work out 6-7 days a week. If I take a day off because I feel my body needs it, I feel depressed and guilty as if I am cheating myself.0

Not obsessed, but I dislike taking days off for recovery. It messes with my consistency - getting mojo up again after an 'off' day's a wee bit harder than just knowing I'm doing something every day. Also makes a big difference (for the worse) in terms of mood & energy levels.0

yes I am, I struggle with rest days, eg yesterday promised I would just do yoga, ended up 60 mins weights and then yoga Ive had 1 rest day, in about 4 weeks. I mostly work out an hour a day and then htree times a week 2 hours or more.0

Feel guilty if I've not done 3-6 days a week, not sweated enough, not gone for 45 minutes or more.0

Not sure I'd say I'm obsessed, but I recently had a pretty bad flu and couldn't workout for 11 days.....and I felt miserable, yes, part of that was the flu (nasty) but it was also because I couldn't exercise and exercising makes me feel good. I love going to the gym or for a walk or run and the feeling you get knowing you're doing your body good.
I work out 6 days a week, so I'd say I'm dedicated rather than obsessed0 -
When people call me obsessed, I say dedicated. I read that here somewhere. I have to have exercise a part of my daily life, six days a week or I don't lose weight, and I will not maintain. Call it what you want to call it, it's necessary for my new way of life.0

I love the natural high I get from exercising and I feel miserable when I can't train. I'm not an addict, I just see exercising as an important and enjoyable part of my life0

Don't know about obsessed but definately addicted, I have become a Les Mills fan and do bodypump 3x a week, body attack 3-4X a week and go walking a few times (5 or more km). Also want to take running up again, I made it as far as 18km in training for a half marathon till an injury made me stop. Usually only have 1 day off at a time, about once a week so I can recover.
With summer starting here also want to do some hiking again too.0 -

This. I feel the same way about exercise as I do about diet. If I don't plan on making it a permanent lifestyle change, than it isn't happening. And there is no way I'm working out 6 days a week for the next 60 years.0 -
Exercise improves my mood and makes me feel awesome.
When I miss too many workouts in a row I start to feel tired, sluggish and crappy.0 -
I wouldn't say obsessed. I do workout pretty much every day unless I'm sick or way overtired. But there are a few mitigating factors there -
1. I don't workout super-hard every day. Most days it's a 25-40 minute workout, either running or strength / circuit training, plus one long run per week (about 2 hours). The long runs will go down in mileage as the weather gets colder. I'll probably still do a long run, but not AS long of a run.
2. I listen to my body and stop or dial back if something really hurts.
3. I have a super-sedentary job so am basically sitting on my *kitten* all day at work. If I had a more active job, I would not be as concerned about getting a workout in every day.0 -

On my rest days I'm totally out of my routine a nd feeling a little cranky. Exercise is definitely a part of my lifestyle. Obsessed? maybe so0

I get very grouchy if I can't workout and even sneak in a walk on rest days. I started out doing just 30 minutes a day (6 days a week) and this has gradually increased to 1-2 hours, only taking a rest day when I have no choice.....obsessed? Little bit I guess!0

If you'd have asked me a year ago I'd have said no way! It's a chore! But yes, I get grumpy now if I can't get my cardio and some strength in most days of the week

I'm seriously obsessed. My husband and I are doing another round of P90X, but I also take Spin classes. My Spin class starts at 5:15 a.m. Tonight I have a meeting after work and want to watch the debate after that. So...I got up super early, did both workouts and 20 minutes of yoga. It's only 10:00 a.m. and I'm so tired! Also, not such a good idea. My legs did not work as well through that second workout. I missed two days last week because I was sick. I worked out extra to "make up" the time when I was feeling better.0

not me, usually. But my 16 yr old is obsessed with doing workout challlenges, I think he is obssessed with me being in PAIN the next day.
for me, it is not a chore, but not an obsession, it is just what it is.. a workout. I need my breaks days though! (or my Chronic Fatigue kicks in full force)0 -
I work out 6 days a week. I do it because I love the way I feel. I have one rest day, and it makes me feel like a blob (which I can't stand, rightfully so). I wouldn't say i'm obsessed, I would say i'm dedicated.0

There's a quote that goes something like "Obsessed is a word the lazy use to describe the dedicated". While I don't believe it has to be one way or the other, I work out 6-7 days a week. I just like how a good workout makes me feel and I don't like the way my body feels when I slag off. I'm seeing the results, other people are noticing, and that just pushes me further.0
